today was a saturday. jisung was already awake at nine-thirty, making pancakes for him and minho, once the elder had woken up. it was wasn't long before the bedroom door opened and a sleepy minho walked out, ruffling his bed hair. jisung wasn't going to lie- he found that very attractive.

"morning, minho." jisung smiled at him before putting his focus back onto the pancakes.

"morning.." minho mumbled lazily, walking over to sit at the kitchen island andscrolling through his phone as he waited for the pancakes. the two stayed in a surprisingly comfortable silence until the younger was done, taking a seat next to minho once he had placed the pancakes and condiments in front of them.

"these are actually really good." the brunet nodded in clarification to his statement as he ate. jisung scoffed playfully.

"what do you mean actually? did you expect them to be disgusting?" he made air quotations on the word 'actually' as he feigned being hurt. he knew the elder didn't mean it like that, he just wanted to tease him.

"hey, that's not what i meant." minho glared lightly at the blond for a second before continuing to eat, failing to notice the small, soft smile on jisung's face.

"i know, i know, i was joking."

----

"where are you going?" minho called from where he was laid on the sofa as jisung slipped on his shoes and a varsity jacket.

"i'm going to the library, i need to study more for the test on monday." the boy called back, earning a long groan from the elder, who appeared moments after pulling on his own shoes and hoodie. "where are you going though?"

"with you."

the blond displayed a confused expression at the statement, wondering why minho would come to the library with him when he didn't seem like the type of person to study what so ever. "why?"

"i forgot we had a test and didn't get hyunjin's notes yesterday because he's using them, obviously, so i can't study myself if i don't have notes. that's why i'm coming with you."

well, jisung was wrong, but he nodded in understanding and grabbed his bag with his books. "well, let's go then!"

on the walk to the library, a sudden thought popped into jisung's head. "hey, minho?"

"yeah?"

"we're friends now, right?"

minho cocked an eyebrow as he turned his head to look down at the younger momentarily before looking ahead again. "i mean, we made up yesterday, so yeah. why?"

"we barely know anything about each other, so shouldn't we tell each other, like, our family, hobbies, favourite animal, colour, food-"

"favourite colour? really?" the elder stifled a laugh at jisung's simplistic question.

"what? it's an important question!" he pouted, glancing up at minho. "i doubt you could come up with better questions than that anyway!"

"oh really? what about places you want to visit around the world, favourite memory, someone you trust with your life, why you were so determined to be friends with me.."

jisung lifted his gaze to the elder again at the mention of the last question, hoping to make eyes contact, but he just kept looking forward. "we'll answer all of these after we've studied."

minho nodded at the blonde's statement, reaching the library doors and pushing them open, jisung right behind him.

----

"honestly, this is all bullshit. how the fuck do i remember all of this for monday?" minho aggressively closed another textbook. "your memory must be magic or something."

jisung laughed as he flicked through the pages of a different textbook. "that's why we're here, to study, minho. studying is what helps you remember."

"you also wanted to ask a billion questions."

"it's not a billion. it's more like twenty, or less. plus, we're doing that after studying, at a cafe or something."

"but i'm too lazy to go anywhere, i don't want to move. you'll have force me, but i think you're too weak for that." he teased as he watched jisung read even more.

the blonde scoffed at minho's words, still not looking up from the textbook. "oh, shut up, will you?"

the brunet raised an eyebrow. "do you remember who you're talking to?"

"you won't hit me, i'm your friend now." jisung spoke confidently, hoping it was true.

"hyunjin and changbin are my friends, doesn't mean i don't hit them occasionally when they go too far."

"i guess i'm just your new favourite then."

minho scoffed in an amused manner from the younger's attitude and playful cockiness. that was one of the things that he made him realise that jisung wasn't as bad as he thought and was a really fun person to be around. it hooked him in more, even though it was so soon. jisung just had a fun personality that could make anyone smile eventually, even minho- although he hadn't cracked just yet.

was he falling for the squirrel-like boy already? although he hated to admit it, the younger had an obvious softening effect on him so he couldn't quite deny anything yet, but he'd just ask some other people - jisung's friends and possibly his own.

(he hasn't actually met felix, seungmin or jeongin yet. he may recognise seungmin from history class, but the other two shall wAiT.)

"minho? you okay?" jisung waved his hand in front of the brunet's face slightly, snapping minho out of the trance he had on the table.

"what?"

"you went quiet for a bit, does that mean you came to the conclusion that i am your favourite, already?"

"not yet, squirrel, keep dreaming."

"hey! i'm not a squirrel!"

"uh huh, sure, squirrel, sure."
