"Chris! Slow down!" You whined as he practically dragged you along the station, your hand in his. You two were currently passing by the hall that would go straight to Chief Irons' office. "Where are we going anyway?"

There wasn't much work to do today, and most of Alpha team were not at work even their workaholic captain, Wesker. Was is coincidental that it was only the two of them there at work?

"I can't tell you, that'll ruin the surprise!" He turns his head to you and flashes a smile that made your heart skip a beat. Chris and you are close friends in and out of work. You really liked Chris, and so did many girls at the department but for you it looked like he wasn't interested in you in that kind of way. He would always ask you to hang out but he never really made a move on you. Still, you were happy that he was around. You wanted to confess your feelings for him but you were afraid that he might not take it well and end up ruining your friendship.

The two of you ran upstairs and walked past a gray door that lead to an open area. Even when the two of you are already there, he still hadn't let go of your hand. You couldn't help but stare at your hand in his, a blush forming across your cheeks.

"Uh... Chris?" You look up at him and his eyes were on you. He nods his head to the side and you look at that direction. The rest of Alpha team were on the lower level, each of them holding a card board.

You re-read the words written on it, not believing what your eyes were seeing.

'WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?'

You look back at Chris, he was looking at you with a glint of... hope? Love? You couldn't tell... you couldn't even utter a word. You were afraid that this might being another dream and you end up waking up disappointed. You look back at your teammates who were on the lower levels. The words written on the boards were so cheesy, the two of you usually make fun of scenes like this when you watch random chick-flick movies.

But to be the one in the situation... it made your heart flutter.

"Hurry up and answer! I have meetings to attend to!" You hear Wesker say and you all but him couldn't help but chuckle.

"He has a point," Chris says and you look back at him, "Hurry up and answer the anticipation is killing me!" He adds in a joking manner and you couldn't help but laugh.

You nod, "Yes! Yes, I'd love to, Chris!"

Your answer made him smile, "Really?"

"Yes—ah!" He scoops you in his arms and spins around. You couldn't help but giggle as you hold onto him. You could hear the team cheering from below as Chris sets you down, his hands cupping your face.

"I could kiss you right now!"

"Nothing's stopping you," You smile at him. He leaned down for a kiss, his plump lips meeting yours as you set your hands on his torso. He pulls away from the kiss but his hanss stay on you cheeks, his thumb gently caressing your cheek.

"You have no idea how happy you've made me,"
