I was in the middle of a sad restful sleep when Percy shook my shoulder.
I opened one eye, and slowly turned my head towards the son of Poseidon.
"What?"
"Jeez. Good morning to you too. Um, Festus is squeaking up a storm down there, and we can't figure out how to shut him up. So can you?-"
"Fine." I barked. I hate it when people wake me up. Especially when I'm in a bad mood.
I threw on a new shirt, because the one I had on was wet from my Ogygia swim.
I grabbed a blanket, and waddled downstairs.
"Morning, Leo!" Piper called, she fell in line with me, and put one arm on my shoulder.
"Piper, it's 1:30 in the afternoon."
"Okay. Then good afternoon."
I rolled my eyes,"Percy said Festus was squeaking?"
"Yeah. He's causing a riot. I don't know how you slept through it." She led me through a hallway on the lowest level of the Argo II.
When she got me to Festus, she left.
I walked over to my dragon, and put my forehead on his nose.
"Festus? Be quiet."
"Squeak creaky squeak!"
"An Iris Message?" I asked.
"Squeak!"
I walked over to my computer monitor, and clicked the mouse twice.
Suddenly, a misty rainbow illuminated out of nowhere, bringing in the fresh smell of sea, and, cinnamon?
The message came through, and my vision tunneled.
Smiling at me from the other end, with tears in her beautiful eyes, was-
"Calypso?"
"Leo! Oh, I miss you!"
"Where were you?"
"Gaea trapped me under water! I used my last wish to be free, and you weren't there!"
"Calypso, I- I don't know what to say!"
"Then how about do something? I need you to come back here! When you come back, I can leave!"
"O-okay! I'm- uh- changing directions right now," I glanced at Festus, and thankfully he understood.
"Leo, before this breaks, I want you to know something." Calypso looked tense.
"What? What's wrong?"
"Well, Aphrodite generously allowed this call, and she said your journey here would be hard. So, just, be careful, okay?"
We locked eyes, and I nodded,"Okay. I love you, Sunshine."
"I love you too, Repair Boy."
Silence, then the message hung itself up.
I turned to Festus and cracked my knuckles.
"Well, looks like we've got a goddess to save."
