Nine

When I was in front
you were my shadow
When you were in front
I was your shadow.

We as one
went on a mission as
spies to collect evidence
against the evil one.

When everything was over
evil and good stood face to face
in front of each other.

But my eyes
were witnessing
an unbelievable sight
What I saw made me think
it was the end of my life.

I saw my soul mate
standing against me
I stood there
still and shocked
double crossed by
the apple of my eye.

It made me
feel helpless
I could not help
but surrender myself.

I wonder what made you
do this to me
I felt defeated emotionally.

After a few days
did I realize
to reach your long lost father
you used me.
