"Good Morning Madam"
"Morning, Mr. Michael. Are you ready?"
"Oh yes I am" he stepped out of the house. "Shall we?"
Mama led the way.
Back home in Egypt, the others were expecting Mama and couldn't wait to see her. She had only been gone a day but they missed her like she had been away for a month. They were both excited to see her and a little nervous to hear what she had to say.
Everyone was up except Anne.
Emily barged into their room and jumped on the bed with her shoes on.
"Anne, wake up!" She said, jumping up and down on the bouncy bed, giggling.
Anne groaned but still tried to sleep. She turned her back to the wall and covered her head with the pillow.
"Anne!" Emily called, now sitting on the bed and shaking her older sister vigorously.
"Ugh, Emily!" Anne protested, angrily whacking her little sister with the pillow a couple of times before throwing it at her.
Emily giggled as she slid off the bed in an attempt to dodge the pillow whacking. She didn't quit though. She smiled to herself, having an idea.
"Don't you wanna see Mama?" She said in a sing song voice.
Anne gasped and sat up abruptly, no longer sleepy. They were sleep marks on the side of her face and it was funny to Emily. Anne was a deep sleeper. She was always last to wake up, even on weekdays. She was not a morning person.
Anne ran downstairs in her pyjamas, hoping to see her mother. She wanted badly to give her a hug. Anne furrowed her eyebrows in mock anger when she realised that Emily had tricked her out of bed. She turned around slowly to stare Emily down but the sweet angel just stood with a straight face, feigning innocence.
"Emily, where is she?" Anne gestured, raising her hands up in a sweeping motion at the empty room.
"Who?"
"Quit playin'! Didn't you say she was here?"
"I never said she had arrived. I said..."
Anne charhed at her playfully. "Why, you sneaky little..."
Emily shrieked as she made away.
"I thought you said she was here!"
"Nope" Emily replied, looking serious. "I said 'don't you want to see Mama?' That doesn't mean she's back yet. I just meant you should wake up and get ready for when she comes".
Anne gave up the chase and clenched her teeth in frustration, stomping back upstairs.
Emily shrugged and giggled, didn't really getting why her sister was in such a bad mood.
Anne opened the door to the bedroom and walked over to sit on the soft bouncy bed.
'I just lost my sleep appetite' she murmured to herself, laughing at herself at the way that sounded. 'Is that even correct? Sleep appetite' she chuckled. She was interrupted by a voice.
"What's so funny?"
She looked up and saw Emily. She lay back on the bed with a heavy sigh and Emily did the same.
"You're everywhere this morning" Anne pointed out.
Emily turned to her sister
"Huh? I'm not in the bathroom right now. Or the living room. Or outside. Or in the kitc-"
