Nahyuta POV

{ TIMESKIP }

{{ It was the day of the wedding and the arrangements were nearly finished up. The garden was full of energized guests from the regal realms that surrounded the Kingdom of Khura'in. There was petite young girl that wore a spirit medium outfit alongside her two loopholes of hair throwing nahmanda petals around the garden. Many people came for the superb occasion that will occur tonight. The groom, Nahyuta, was settled in his private quarters adjusting his hair and fixing his makeup for the dreaded event. Of course his mom, the queen, was there to assist with his beautifying and hairstyling. On the opposite side of the royal residence the future queen, Ema Skye was also getting her makeup done by the imperial cosmetics specialists. It was a bustling night loaded with exciting festivities for the palace and the newly wedded couple to be. }}

My mom wrapped up braiding around my ponytail and began my makeup.

"I am so very delighted to know that my sweet Nahyuta will get married soon." She said while adding lipstick to my delicate lips.

I have never wanted to flee here more than today and I have been considering doing so before the wedding this evening. I didn't want my mom to be disappointed so I smiled and answered,

"I am so exceptionally thankful that you could help me with the arrangements mother."

She smiled delicately and started gushing about the lady I should wed. She made statements like, "Do you figure I will have grandchildren my sweet Nahyuta?" And, "Wouldn't you say she is lovely? I knew both of you would get along."

I loathed each and every word except I figured I should keep my calm face. I looked toward the mirror before me. I could hardly recognize myself. This isn't what I wanted... This isn't who I am. My lustrous red lipstick shimmered in the daylight that looked through my drapes.

My mother gave me her radiant smile once again and cupped my head in her soft hands. "Goodness my sweet child, always remember, mother cherishes you with her entire existence." And she delicately placed a kiss on my forehead. The queen set out toward the entryway and down the corridor to the princess' quarters.

I would prefer not to get married... Not to right now at any rate. I got up and walked over to a picture frame. It was an photo of Rayfa, mother, Dhurke, and Apollo.

I haven't heard Apollo and Dhurke's name is numerous years. Since the time Apollo left the shack in the mountains where we were raised I never heard of him again. I wonder what he is up to.

With Dhurke... He wound up getting slaughtered by the minister of justice. We never talked about those two, it was for all intents and purposes a taboo subject to raise Dhurke or Apollo before Queen Amara.

She adored that man.. I recollect those days in the mountains. I abandoned that all to spend the remainder of my days with Queen Amara and Rayfa in a palace.

I missed those days very much and I wager that mother does too. When she heard the minister of justice had murdered her lover she broke. I noticed she was hurting however she kept a brave face for the kingdom.

My mother was strong and did everything in her absolute power to protect her family. In some cases that wasn't sufficient. Being related with the queen was difficult and it wound up getting Dhurke killed. They called it forbidden love. He was a revolutionary man who conflicted with the Khura'inese government and Amara was a regal princess who never wandered far from the kingdom walls.

Dhurke would always tell Apollo and I about their romantic tales and always always having to run from the royal guards carrying the young princess in his arms. They fled together and Amara got the opportunity to encounter the world with Dhurke.

While eating sushi in the old shack we had Dhurke told us that Amara was the only woman for him and that when we grow up we should find someone who makes us feel that way too. I believe she felt the same way.

It has been a long time since then and mother always appears as though she is craving something. She most likely wanted to go outside, hand and hand with the love of her life.

Unfortunately those days have passed and she as of now dwells inside the kingdom walls alone. I always felt bad for her.. I mean I miss Dhurke too he was my fathe and there is always some days that are more difficult than others, yet we always made it through in the end.

After all Dhurke was watching us with his dragon spirit and the creed of the dragon he left us, A dragon never yields. despite everything it always sticks with us after such a long time.
