Chapter 4 ~ Mistake

Jakes POV
    I just stood there in shock, I don't know what just happened, Sam kisses me? I know it was in a threatening type of way though. I had no idea what Sam was capable of, only a few people were one being Brennen Taylor. I knew I had to find out so I know how far I can push Sam. So I did what my brain thought was smart. I grabbed my phone and texted Brennen who I havent seen in a few months because Sam and him didn't get along anymore after something he did. "Let's hope I don't regret this.." I mumbled to myself going to Brennens contact

    Hey Brennen - sent 2:34pm
    Jake? Why are you texting me? - sent 2:36pm
    How far can I push Sam and how far will he go. - sent 2:36pm
    Look I don't know why the fuck you need to know that but whatever you want to do just don't. It's a stupid idea - sent 2:37pm
   Brennen just tell me, I'm not gonna do anything stupid. - read 2:40pm

    And he left me on read. Damnit he's the only person I can think of who would know, no one else in the house has done shit to piss him off at least that I know of. Well Aaron may have but we kicked him out of the house a while ago and stopped talking to him completely (I KNOW THAT ISN'T TRUE I LOVE AARON 🥺) whatever I'll figure this out. I snapped out of my thoughts and walked over to my full body mirror looking at my face. "How the fuck can he hit like that." I growled to myself as I walked out of my room going down to the kitchen. "What's up brotherrrr" Corey said "Nothing much, I'm just hungryyyy." I groaned "Same, oh also me and Colby got something with Elton tonight so we're gonna be gone for a few days so you're gonna be alone with Sam." He said grabbing something from a cabinet "Oh uh okay.." I smiled at Corey and sat my phone on the counter "I'm gonna go get some taco bell for myself, cya when you get back brotherr" I said grabbing my keys and walking off to my car as Corey yelled bye.

Sam's POV
    I had gotten Colby to calm down within a few minutes after Jake went off on him but Colby still wouldn't tell me what the fight was even about. "Colby come on please, I won't get mad I just want to know" I said as Colby was packing. "Sam can we talk about this when I get back from my trip." Colby said obviously annoyed "Sure, but remember I'm always here to talk. How's your face" I stood up from his bed "It's fine, Jake didn't hit me that hard it stung but it's fine now" he said smiling at me "That's go-" I got cut off by Corey suddenly yelling that Elton was here "Shit gotta go Sam bye!" He hugged me and ran off with his stuff. Great it's gonna be me and Jake for a week or something. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw Jakes phone laying there, he must have forgotten it since his keys were gone. I decided to chill out and watch some TV but about 10 minutes into the show Jakes phone started going off so I went over and unlocked his phone (he knows Jakes password don't ask how) and saw that Brennen had texted him. "Why is he texting Brennen?" I said to myself opening the conversation. I read through it and got slowly more pissed. Then I saw the message from Brennen. "Hey, it was nice seeing you again bro. And remember be careful with that whole thing. You know what he can do" as I read it my grip tightened on his phone "What the actual fuck." I put his phone down as I heard the door open and I quickly turned it off "Sam!! I brought you some taco bell!" Jake yelled as he shut the door to the traphouse "Oh, thanks bro!" I yelled back trying to hide my anger as I sat down. "No problem brother" Jake said walking into the kitchen and placing the bag onto the counter.
*After they're done eating*
    "So Jake." I stood up "Who you been talking to lately" I said looking him right in the eye. "Oh um no one really, just our friend group and some people from Kansas" he said back laughing nervously "You sure? Because according to your texts. You've been having some...Interesting conversations with Brennen." I said as my smile quickly faded away. Jakes eyes widened "I-I um..." He grabbed his phone standing up and walking backwards slowly "You what?" I said quietly clenching my jaw. "I- I'm gonna go!" He tried to run but I quickly grabbed him and pushed him against the counter making his tailbone slam against it gaining a little  whimper of pain from him. "You still wanna know what I'm capable of Jake?"

    Hey guys!! So I'm gonna try to update this more than I have been. But still it's gonna be off and on especially once school starts in a little less than a month.
