The young hamon users stretched out their worked muscles, having just gone through a quick training course.
Joseph and Caesar were only 4 hours away from their fated battles against their masters. Both were given the time to do whatever they needed to prepare for the occasion. Caesar had set up a plan; however, Joseph had not.
"Would you like to go with me for a brisk jog? I can tour a park I've been meaning to show you for a few days now," Caesar huffed, effortlessly doing pushups for fun. The Brit nodded. "Sure, I don't have any plans anyway. I was just going to go into it mentally prepared." Caesar sighed, turning away from his partner.
Joseph fakely sniffled, acting like he was hurt. This made Caesar laugh. "Aw, are you hurt Jojo?" The blonde kissed him on the nose gently. "There, is that better?" Joseph smiled but looked around to make sure their trainers weren't watching. "Yeah," Joseph whispered, smiling wider.
Both took off to the park, admiring the scenery. Wildlife was running about and foliage rustled in the wind. Caesar grabbed Joseph's hand tightly and led him to a small pond. There, they tossed small crumbs in for the feeder fish to come up and take it off the surface. Joseph was crouched on his knees, while Caesar rested on the ground with his legs crossed. Small catfish were catching minnows, while they observed some bass leaping in the air. They had no fishing poles or nets, but why would the pair want to remove these creatures from their home?
"This is something worth saving," Caesar commented. "They're so happy. I wish I had a simple life like that, where all I had to do was feed in a pond."
Joseph chuckled, gently weaving his fingers into the Italian's golden locks. "Where's the fun in that? I'd rather save the world with the person I love."
The two lovebirds took off after a few more minutes of watching the pond life. 2 hours later, they arrived back to the island. Bored, Joseph lightly traced stars onto Caesar's back as they sat in chairs next to each other. He sighed. "What now?"
"Be patient, mio caro," Caesar answered. Joseph huffed.

The duo prepared themselves as they entered the courtyard to meet their mentors. Joseph cracked his knuckles, as Caesar cracked his neck slowly. Loosening up, both arrived right on time. Lisa Lisa noticed them enter.
"Right on time! You must have Jojo trained, Caesar," She joked, though she kept her serious demeanor. Caesar smirked in Joseph's direction as the brunette looked away, his cheeks tinted pink.
"Right. Joseph, you get Loggins, and Caesar, you can battle your assigned mentor, Messina. You may take all day, but just remember, you'll want to be finished rather quickly." Everyone nodded, and soon enough, they were off. Joseph, however, hesitated. "I must use the bathroom first!"
His mentor face palmed but showed a hint of a smile. "Shake out the nervous bones in your body, Joseph. I expect great things from you. I will see you on the battlefield."
Joseph nodded and turned towards the bathroom. After cleanup, he began towards the watery arena but slowed to watch Caesar's fight. He witnessed the blonde singeing the hairs on Messina's arm and smiled, proud of his Caesar. He already acts like a hamon master... Joseph then looked away, focusing on his own fight. Examining the arena, he noticed there were spikes on some of the floor. Perceptive as always, yes? He began running faster to his destination, but couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling.
As he entered the island, Joseph cautiously looked about. He would have to keep a lookout, for Loggins was known to do unexpected actions, even before the face of battle. The brunette looked up towards the small tower in the center. The color drained from his face.
