“Honey, Are you done? The kids are whining.” Bryan shouted
“Almost done, Honey.” I replied
I put some gloss on my lips, grabbed my purse and went down. The kids we’re staring at me. Stephanie’s smiling. Bryan, my husband, yeah he’s shocked.
“Let’s go?” I said
“Just, just wait honey.” Bryan said as he went upstairs. When he came back, he was holding an DSLR.
“Smile!” He said taking a snap of me. I smiled.
“Mom, you’re so beautiful.” Stephanie said
“Yeah, Mommy! You look so pretty. Oooh!” Finn said
“Thank you, Sweetie.” I said giving Finn a kiss on the cheek. He giggled.
“Mom, you look like my crush. Except, you’re taller.” Kyle said
I smiled at Kyle. We all went to the door and went inside the car. Bryan started to drive. We don’t want our driver to drive because we know that he’ll get tired. When we reached Bagio, we went to a lovely American place and Bryan started to do the ordering.
“Hmm, What would you kids like?”
“Burger!” Finn said
“Pizza.” Kyle said
“I’ll have Pasta, Dad.” Stephanie said
“For you, Honey?” Bryan asked
“Hmm, I’ll have Vegetable salad, some chicken breast part, and pasta.”
“Okay, you heard her. She’s the birthday girl.” Bryan said
The waiter replied and shouted, “We have a number 4 here.” The other waiters looked at us and started going inside the kitchen
“Huh? What do you mean by that?”
“It’s actually a surprise, Ma’am.” The waiter replied
“Oooh, A surprise for Mommy.” Finn said
“So, we’ll have 2 large burgers, 10 slices of Ham and Cheese pizza large one, 2 pastas, 2 vegetable salad and a chicken breast with rice.” Bryan said
“Oh no, Honey. I don’t want rice.” I said
“Oh, okay. No rice.”
“Okay, sir. Just wait a few minutes.” The waiter said and then he left.
After waiting for 30 minutes, the food came.
“Hey, we didn’t order an Oreo Ice cream came, didn’t we?” I said
The waiter looked confused.
“But Ma’am, it was in here.” The waiter responded
“But we didn’t…”
“Happy Birthday, Ma’am! Enjoy your Oreo Ice cream cake with your family.” The waiter said.
“Oh, thank you very much. This is huge. Thank you.”
“Your welcome, Ma’am. Enjoy your dinner.”
“We will. Thank you.” I replied with a smile.
We ate silently. We’re all enjoying our food. Bryan tells stories to our children and they just laughed. When we finished eating, Bryan spoke.
“Gift giving time!” Bryan said
“Oh, Goodie!” Finn said
“Stephanie, why don’t you go first.” Bryan said
“Uhm, okay.” Stephanie said handing a box to me.
“I want Mom to open it first.” Stephanie said
“Oh, Okay.” I said while opening the box. It was a perfume.
“Mom, I know you love perfumes so I decided to give you a ‘Paula Cahen’. It isn’t too much. And I know it’s the cheapest perfume from all your collections. But, I still want you to have it. I hope you like it, Mom. I love you.”
“Oh sweetheart, it’s the most expensive of all my collections. Thank you.” I said giving my daughter a kiss.
“Kyle, go next.” Bryan said
“Okay, Dad.” Kyle said handing me the gift. I opened it. Inside was a Valentino white clutch that I’ve been longing to buy. I always forget to buy it cause of my work and they always don’t have a stock.
“I know it’s your favorite, Mom. I myself, contacted Valentino just to get that clutch. I told him that it was for you. Happy Birthday, Mom!” Kyle said
“Oh, Kyle. Thank you so much. This is wonderful.” I told Kyle. I hugged him.
“Finn?” Bryan said
“Oh, My turn. Mommy dearest, First of all, I don’t know what to give you so I bought this.” Finn said giving me a small box from Tiffany.co. It was a charm bracelet.
“I know your age isn’t enough for that kind of stuff. I think it’s too old for you. But who cares, you’re my Mommy dearest and I’d get and do anything for you. You are the best mom in the world. I love you, Mommy dearest!” Finn said hugging me. I hugged him back.
“Dad, your turn.” Stephanie said
“Oh. Okay. Dearest, Michelle.”
“Oh, I think we’re going to have tears.” Kyle said
“The love of my life. My everything. I know, the first time we’ve met wasn’t a good time. But I know way deep down my heart, that you’re the one for me. I don’t want to make a long speech about our relationship so I just want to tell you, Thank you for everything. Thank you for taking care of me and the kids. Thank you for loving us. Happy Birthday.” Bryan said giving me a kiss. It was definitely the best night of my life. Best birthday night to be exact.
