I came to the office at 9:30 am to start my work early. Employees came early as well. I don’t know where they got the news that I was going to office early, but who cares at least they’re here. I worked for 7 hours. It was 3:00 o’clock when I finished everything I have to do. It’s definitely time for me to go since my work is done. I turned off the Air conditioner, shut down the IMac and went outside the office. I saw my employees still working. They all stood up to say goodbye to me. I smiled to them and say, “Good job on your work, guys. Take a break. A very long break. 2 hours or so. And if you’re done with your jobs, you can go home.”
“Georgia?” I called
“Yes, Madam.” Georgia told me. Georgia is the Vice president of the company. She takes charge when I’m not around.
“I’ll go now since all my work for today is done. You’re in charge of our employees. I told them to have they’re break. You should too. Go eat out, have some Frappucinos, anything. It’s up to you. And I trust you. I have faith in you. I know that you can handle the company. I’ll go now. I’m going to fetch my daughter, Stephanie. See you tomorrow, Georgia. And if there’s anything you need, call me.” I said giving her a kiss on the cheek
“Okay, Madam. You take care, okay. Drive safe.” Georgia said
“I will.” I replied
I went down the building and drove off to Miriam College. I texted my daughter saying, ‘Honey, I’m on my way to your school to pick you up. I told your driver that I’ll be the one to pick you. I’m almost there. See you in a few. Love you, Mom.’ When about to park the car, I saw Stephanie with her friends. She came to me and hugged me.
“Mom, These are my friends. This is Amanda and Rachel.” Stephanie told me
“Oh, Hello there, Loves. Nice to meet you.” I said with a smile
“Wow your Mom’s gorgeous. She looks so young.” I heard the brown haired girl say.
“Why, thank you dear. May I know your name?” I asked
“I’m Amanda. It was nice meeting you Mrs. Fernandez.” The girl told me.
“It’s was nice meeting you too, Amanda …?”
“It’s Villanueva, Mrs. Fernandez.” She replied. I was shocked. Was she the daughter of Tiffany and Zach?
“Wait, Is your mother Tiffany?” I asked
“Yes. How did you know?” She asked
“Oh, we’ve been friends before. She was my schoolmate.” I said
“Oh, that’s very cool. I’ll tell her that I’ve met you.” She said. Then, she started texting.
“And of course, I know you, Rachel. You’re my best friend’s daughter.” I said
“Hello, Tita. It was nice seeing you.” Rachel told me. Then she kissed me on the cheeks.
“How’s Scott?” I asked
“Dad’s fine. He has a lot of work. Very busy guy.” She replied
“Oh. Send him my regards.”
“I will, Tita.” She said and then smiled.
“Hey guys, I have an idea.” Stephanie said
“What?” Rachel asked
Stephanie turned to me and said, “Mom, can we go to the mall with Amanda and Rachel today? You know, Rockwell?”
“Sure, dear. But do you think they’re parents will agree?” I asked
“Of course, Tita. My mom will agree.” Rachel said
“How about Amanda?” I asked
“My mom always agrees. Oh, wait. She replied and said… ‘Okay, honey. Tell Michelle (Mrs. Fernandez) to come with you. I’m so glad to meet her again.’ And I guess my mom agrees.”
“That’s good. I’ve been longing to meet your mother too.” I said with a smile.
This day’s going to be exiting but I’m kind of scared too. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. We’ll just have to wait and see.
