Marcus' attention was directed towards the small stature of the girl with Crystal Blue Eyes.

Nicole...

He smiled as she approached the bench he was sitting at in the park. Her hair was pulled to lay on her left shoulder. She wore a black, white, pink floral tank top, tucked into a short black skirt. She wore a nice pair of dark brown combat boots. She looked amazing.

She smiled lightly and he instantly stood up and grabbed her hand when she got closer. He looked her in her beautiful eyes and smiled like a fool.

"You look great, Nicole," I blinked and smiled more with her response.

"Thank you, so do you, Marcus." She said followed by a boop on my nose.

We began walking to the parking lot of the park and we got in my truck and I took us to a small nearby restaurant. As I pulled into the driveway, I turned to look at her.

"I hope you like pastries and coffee," I smile. "I thought it would be a cute place to get to know a pretty girl."

Her cheeks flushed with a rosy pink color. She smiled and nodded, unbuckling her seatbelt. I hurried out of the driver's seat to make my way to her side to open the door for her. Nicole looked at me, almost as if no one has ever opened a door for her before. That's a shame.

We walked inside the little bakery and sat down. I grabbed the tip of her fingers lightly and asked her about what she likes to do on her freetime.

"I like to sing..." She said shyly. "I also hold my own classified award in watching and finishing shows on Netflix withing weeks time." She giggled.

I laughed along with her, "Maybe I could hear your voice sometime..."

Marcus looked down and thought of his mother, when she would sing to him or his father when they were tired or did not feel well. She has the voice of an angel.

"You look like you have something on your mind."

"When you said you sing, I thought of when my family was happy, when my mom would sing to my father and I, if we didn't feel well. My mom has an amazing voice and I'm sure you do too." I couldn't believe I was actually opening up to someone, a girl for that matter. I don't know how it happened... How I suddenly felt comfortable with her without even knowing her.

I guess it was just the little things, her hair, her eyes, her smile, her voice, her laughh, her body... She cared when I was upset, she gave me another chance when I was over an hour late to see her. I don't know, she just seems so... so... amazing. I want to know her, I want to know everything about her, I want to be her friend.

I want to be the one she goes to when she needs help, when she's upset. I want to be the one she trusts with secrets and feelings. I want to be the one she wants to spend time with... and I will be.

She looked me in the eyes and stroked my left hand softly. "That is so sad yet so sweet..."

I sighed and gave her a reassuring smile. "So, what's your family life like...? I mean, if its not too personal." I hesitated.

"I, um, well... I live with my Aunt and Uncle... I don't really want to talk about my parents, not now at least. But life with my Aunt and Uncle is pretty great." She smiled sheepishly and looked towards the ground.

I pushed her chin up lightly so she could look at me. "I'm sorry for tugging the heart strings. You can share when... If you're ready."

"Thank you... What do you think about when you're alone...?"

Lately, you. My mind always seems to fill with thoughts of you. You and your long blonde hair, your beautiful crystal blue eyes with the Grey circle around your pupils... Your angelic and bubbly voice...

"I, uh..." My face turned red, and I could tell by the rapid heat rising to my cheeks. "Oh, just um, writing, sports, friends, you, and just guy stuff or something." I rubbed the back of my head nervously.

Nicole's beautiful eyes widened and she looked shocked. She then narrowed her eyes with a smirk and leaned in towards the middle of the table. "Me, huh?" She teases. "What kind of thoughts about me?"

"I-I, um...uhh," I bit my lip nervously, and sighed. I looked her in the eyes and explained everything that crosses my mind. "Your eyes. The way they gleam and glisten when you smile, your eyes are a beautiful shade of Crystal blue and you have a soft circle of grey around your pupils... You have long, soft looking blonde hair, it's so sleek and it flows from side to side ever so gracefully when you walk. You have the sweetest, most welcoming, most sincere smile I think I've ever seen... Somehow, even after not wanting to let anyone in, you creeped your way through the grape vines and captivated my mind, Nicole."

I wasn't going to tell her she was beautiful... I'm sure she could use her mind and figure that out... I mean, its not like I like her or anything. I just, I want to be close to her. I want to be her friend. She is beautiful, but I'm striving for a close friendship... If it goes further then great, if it doesn't that's okay... At least I'll have her either way.

"I just, I don't know what it is about you, Nicole but you seem to just take my pain away and I've just barely started getting to know you. You're just... You're so sweet, you're not how I pictured you at first... You're... You." My heart was racing faster than NASCAR, my mind was spinning and I couldn't believe what I just said to her.

She looked at me, glassy eyed with absolutely no words at all. A single tear rolled down her right cheek and her cute little lip quivered. I grabbed her hand and lead her to sit next to me. She began to cry, out of joy, and I held her tightly.

"I mean every word of it..." I whispered in her ear.

She looked at me and sniffled. Immediately, her arms swung around my neck and she placed her head in my chest, hugging me embracefully. She cried and I rubbed her back. I had never spoken opinions, observations, feelings, not like that.

"I... I don't know what to say, Marcus."

I picked her chin up and wiped the tears lightly away from her eyes with my thumb. I could feel the tension as our eyes connected. It was almost as if I could feel her heart beating just as rapidly as mine...

"I just... That was the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me... I just don't know how to respond--"

"Then don't..." I whispered as I leaned in and left a soft kiss on her lips. She pulled back and looked at me.

I pulled her close next to me in our seats and I kissed her again.
