Unimpressed

Irene Adler. The name every man longed to hear. Every man wanted to meet her, wanted to kiss her, wanted to hurt her. She never really knew why, well, she did know why. But she didn't know how she got to be who she was.

When most people lose their parents, grandparents, siblings, and every other person in their family, their life changes. Their hearts and their minds just lose it! But not Irene. When her family perished in a terrible fire, it didn't bother her. She had many wonderful memories of them, but it was like... she felt nothing when she heard their names. She felt no connection. Almost like her family did not really exist. Like they were some part of her imagination.

 She had met wonderful people, Sherlock Holmes, witches, wizards, and even so called demons. But she was never impressed. The people she met did wonderful things! But it never amazed her. Of course, she did not know why, anything interesting left her bored, or interested but unimpressed.

One thing that she did find impressive, was the dreams she had had every night since the fire. Her therapist told her that is was probably because of the terrible trauma that had happened to her, but she did not care the least about the death of her family. Her heart felt empty but her mind felt full.

Why would she not care about her family dying? Why wouldn't demons be something to be impressed about?  And Irene was going to find the answers, but where? She did not know that either.

Little did she know, that three months after the fire, she was going to meet someone, someone who would change her life forever.

~~Okay! What do you guys think? I know, I am writing other stories, but I keep getting ideas for another one! And as you know, when I get an idea they burn in my mind and get bigger and bigger until I give up! So, here is my latest story!
