Kenneth

My hands clutch on the steering wheel tightly, beads of sweats were running down my temple. The heat that was on my head was burning due to the nervousness, anxious and fear of what I just found out recently. My mind went back to what I read at the café.

'Richmond Street - A killing has occurred in one of the household there. The supposedly victim was a family of five. Killing occurred around 2 p.m. and victims were all found with their hands being tied up behind their backs and one by one shot in the chest. One victim was found to be raped before being killed. Victims are the Harrison Family, they-,'

My mind went over to remember the name of the family and I just immediately tense. I know the family. They were the ones that Aunt Susan said 'owns' the black SUV car. The car was not theirs, I just know it. They never had an SUV car. Why would they have one out of nowhere? I stepped on the gas pedal hard, going over my speed limit. We were going on 100 kilometres per hour and now it felt like riding a motorbike. Kate holds onto the passenger seat, her expression showed panic at how fast we were going.

"Kenneth! Slow down! You're going to get us killed!" She yelled over the sound of the car speeding down the road. I only clenched my jaw, I did not want to slow down. I am in desperation of going home and make sure Aunt Susan was safe. My consciousness did not want to lose another family that I have.

My face scrunched up. "There's not time to wait Kate! My aunt is out there alone and exposed to some vicious murderer that could kill her. I'm not speeding for no reason," I turn around a corner, driving the car straight ahead to a shortcut to my neighbourhood. I saw a police car and an ambulance van parked near the Harrison's. They were bringing out each dead body out of the house. My eyes caught a glimpse of Kate, her hands on her mouth when she sees all the family being taken. I slow down in front of their house, seeing the crime scene. My eyes caught a splash of blood splattered around the house. It seems the killer had blood dripping from their clothes. I pressed against the car gas, continuing to drive away and going to Aunt Susan's.

Once the car was in front of the house, I rushed outside, not caring to turn off the car. My feet ran its way to the front door. Barging inside the house, I searched for Aunt Susan. I dashed to the kitchen, it was the last time I saw her. My brown eyes scanned the kitchen, no where to be found the body of the 40-year-old woman.

"Aunt Susan!" My voice blared through the house, calling the woman who took care of me. Kate come in afterwards, she was worried. I ran upstairs, going from room to room in search for her.

I yelled again. "Aunt Susan!" My calling did not help, she was nowhere in the house. I ran back downstairs, meeting with Kate.

"Have you find her?" I questioned her, staring at her with wide eyes, my face was full of sweats, my clothes was drenched wet. I asked her as if I told her to help me find Aunt Susan but I did not, I did not have to ask, it takes logic to figure it out.
