"You looked happy today, is there something I should know?" Rafael came into my office, with two coffee in his hands. I looked up to him from the papers I was investigating on, a smile came to my face when he asked that question. Something did happen, but that was something that he should not know. I had fun last night with Kenneth, the boy truly fun to be with. Clever and very poise of himself.
He talked about how he would never compare to his parents, and to be honest, I kind of understand what he meant by that. The kind of apprehension that to achieve or fulfil something our older ones did or want was hard. I was going through one, but I kind of take awareness that I should not care about it too much and just... do my own thing. Even when I was threatened with the heir title but nevertheless, I do not even care about the heir. If my mother was willing enough to let go of my heritage to her legacy because of some stupid marriage, then so be it. I could start my own legacy.
"What? Am I not allowed to be happy?" I asked him, going back to my papers.
He puts down both drinks on the coffee table, sitting down on the small couch. "You are allowed. Lately you seemed grumpy, I know, personal stuff. But today, something change. Did you aaa... get it on last night?" He wiggles his eyebrows, looking at me teasingly.
"Stop being absurd, Rafael. No, I did not... get it on with someone. Just met a friend yesterday, had some nice chats, laughs... yeah, made my day," I respond simply, remembering back the joke that me and Kenneth made toward each other. And there were no people at the bar, which makes it more fun, intimate well except the bartender but all in all, we had so much fun with each other's presence. It distracted me from thinking about work and problem at home, it was taking medicine but in a form of chats and laughters from a person... that I like...
Rafael interrupted me, patting my cheek. "Christian, darling. You need to hear me laugh and talk," He spoke, imitating a girl's voice. I gritted my teeth at him, holding his arm then go to slap his cheek back repeatedly.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow. Hey, stop," He hissed in pain, then goes to rub his cheek.
I smirk at him. "Serve you right. I did not even go out with a girl. It's a 'He',"
"Alright, alright... damn, can't a friend make a joke?" He said, sitting down, drinking his cup of coffee. I sat down with him, taking my cup of coffee. Break hours was left with ten minutes and I spend the hour researching papers to papers about the Richmond Street Case. To us surprise, there was no murdering has yet to happen since the last one with The Collin, it seemed it stops for a while.
Drinking the hot brown liquid, my eyes looked up to Rafael. "Sorry... just got carried away," I chuckled, putting the down the drink on the table. His blonde hair moved as he nodded his head at me, sitting comfortably on the couch. He has been spending much time in my office instead of his. My office seem to be his getaway spot for stress.
