(#1 In The Acceptatio Series)
"What happened to mom and dad?" I asked lowly.
"Kenneth, you have no need to worry. Just go ahead and play with your friends,"
I was getting upset by not knowing the truth. "But I want to know!"

My eyes saw a figure in front of me. Last time I remember, I was in my room. But now, I was somewhere else, in a park. There were golden leaves falling down to the ground, my eyes stare at them. A tall figure was in front of me, the man walked up towards me. What was this? A dream?
Christian face came clear into my sight. Christian? What are you doing here? I could not speak, it was as if my mouth were shut, taped down by something, holding me from saying his name. He came closer to me, his hands were put on both of my shoulders, the same gesture he gave me when I was out from reality on our first meet.
"Kenneth! Wake up!" He shouted in my face, the blues of his eyes were so strong. What? Wake up?
He shakes my body roughly. "Kenneth, Wake up! Aunt Susan!" My eyes widen as he mentioned Aunt Susan. Suddenly, a bullet was shot out of nowhere and it went straight into Christian's head. NO!

My eyes opened instantly as the nightmare told me to wake up. I was laying down on the floor with my body facing down. What happened? How did I end up here? I hoisted myself from the floor, kneeling down as I recover the memories of what had happened to me. My eyes caught the black journal in front of where I was laying down, I must have fallen and landed on the floor. But I did not know why I did so. I placed my hand onto my head, massaging the aching pounding of the headache I had from the fall, trying to lessen the pain a little.
Standing up, I grabbed the journal from the floor. I flipped the pages from the book to see where had I left reading. Yes, Hexagon... who were they? I placed the book on my desk, pacing around the room for a while to think of the name. But my mind went back to the dream I had, Christian... why him? Why the shot? His blue eyes were kept still in my mind, they were enticing, young and carefree. My feet brought me to the window, crossing my arms and looking at the house that was being intruded with murderers who was hungry for blood. The sky outside showed a very dark view, it was either it would be raining or it was getting late.
I walked towards the door, wanting to get a drink from the kitchen. The kitchen, where I suggest to Aunt Susan that we should move out but was shut down instantly. It was a terrible thing to ask, I should have not asked her for something like that, she loved this place. Being in front of the door, I grabbed the knob and twisted it open.
My eyes were met with darkness and emptiness. The lights were all turned off, there was nothing that was switched on. I slowly made my way towards the hallway, the bathroom was dark, everything seem to be so dim. My eyes went to Aunt Susan's bedroom, her door was open slightly. I made my way inside, a shaken feeling about all of this. Her room was empty, she was not inside. Where was she? The clock beside her bed showed the time being 00.59 a.m. It was almost one in the morning, why was she not in bed?
Suddenly, the door to her bed went closed, startling me by surprise and fear. I ran quickly to the door, trying to open it but it was stuck. My ears heard something shuffling outside the room. I placed my ears onto the door, trying to hear anything. But then a scream was heard close by, it was from the living room. Then my mind quickly remember the message that I was given earlier on, Aunt Susan! No! My hands banged the door, forcing it to open.
"Fuck! Come on, come on!" I pushed the door open. But the door would not budge. Without thinking any better thoughts, I step back away from the door, going straight back to the wall opposite it. "This is gonna fucking hurt," I muttered.
With one fast run, I collided with the door with my shoulder, letting out a painful grunt while busting the door open. When I was outside, a gunshot was fired, filling my senses immediately. My eyes widen at the sound of the gun trigger being pulled. It took me a while to process what was happening, while I try to think straight of what to do. Grabbing the baseball bat beside the cabinet near Aunt Susan's bedroom, I ran to the stairs.
Slowly, I step down the stairs one by one, holding the baseball bat near me. They were here, I knew we were not safe at all. I should have warned Aunt Susan about the message... haze... dream... that told me about this. It warns me but I did not do anything, I figure it was just my mind playing with me but it was not, the inscription about the necklace giving messages about the future was true. I had so many doubts about it that I just could not decide whether to believe it.
"Aunt Susan?" I called out her name quietly, trying to not make a big sound out of it. The view of the floor to downstairs, step by step became even clearer.
I called her again. "Aunt Susan...?" My breath was hitching down my throat, every breath I take, it was hard to breathe it out again. Down on the last step on the stairs, the baseball bat was still intact to my grip tightly, I look beside to the kitchen to check if someone was there, not a single body was in sight.
Just as I turn my head to the living room, my mouth gaped in horror. My grip on the baseball bat loosen immediately, letting it slip right out of my hand and crashing into the floor, erupting a big thud sound. My eyes were met with a body of Aunt Susan, laying down on the floor in the living room, with blood coming from her chest.
"Oh my god! Aunt Susan!" I ran towards her, my hands were shaky. I hold my hand a mere away from her, thinking of where I should touch her. Without any care, I grab her body, and hold her close to me. My fingers went to check her pulse, she was still alive.
The words from my mouth came out a stuttering mess. "No, no, no, t- this can't be happening. Aunt Susan, hey, hey. Open your eyes, l-look at me," I bring her face to my direction. She opens her eyes slowly, the dark pupils of her brown eyes were almost dilated. One of her hand holds a gun, where did she get that?
"Kenny... hey... you need... to... run. Now! Go...! While... their... out...," She whispered the words one by one. She was dying. No, please... oh please...
"No, no, I- I can't leave you. I- I will bring you. I can save you," I blurted out, searching for my phone in my pocket to call the ambulance and the police. Fuck, my phone was upstairs.
She grabbed my hand, holding down my unsettling hands. "No... you... need to run! Run... while they're out Kenny. RUN... They're coming. Take the stash of money... from my bedroom... leave the house... take the car... Go...! You have... no time... They're... looking after... you," After me?! The necklace. The necklace, they were after this.
"But I-... I can't do this without you... please... don't go!"
She smiled softly at me. "You're a strong boy... Kenny. You don't need my... protection. Go... now," She pushed me away, leaving herself to lay down on the floor, almost on the brink of death. With one blink of my eye, she was gone... I bring my hand into a fist to my mouth, holding the sobbing. I caught a name written on the floor with blood, 'Hexagon'. It was them, they were doing this.
My eyes were full of tears. She was gone, the one who took care of me. The world was cruel enough to take my parents... now the world was wicked, ruthless for taking my aunt away. I closed her eyes, kissing her forehead for the last time, before backing off from her body. The tears were flowing endlessly from my eyes.
It was time to go, Kenneth. Leave her, she is nowhere near alive. I gripped my hair with both of my hands... looking her lifeless body. I was starting to panic. But somehow, I needed to be strong for her. I will take revenge. I take the car keys from the key basket. Holding my tears, I ran upstairs fast to get the money, my clothes, anything to get me out of here. She said they were coming, I need a plan.
