Chapter 11 Yokai Cafe

(Y/N) POV

We all were on a bus driving to the district while a few of them were chatting.

There was no one else on the bus and assuming Rani did this I'm not surprised.

But that day...

I don't want to think about it ... even if part of me wants to, I know it'll hurt and for now I don't want to deal with that pain.

My thoughts are cut short when I hear a glass cracking shriek.

Everyone looks over at Jin.

He's holding his heart while Sandy is holding a fake spider in his hands.

Sandy laughs and high-fives Sharo.

I chuckle and shake my head.

Everyone laughs in similar ways.

The bus driver clears his throat and grabs everyone's attention, "We are entering Yokai District everybody."

We all look out the windows on the left side.

A few of us gasp in awe or just 'ooo', me on the other hand just watches.

This mood I'm in doesn't make things better at all. But it feels so natural that it's hard to contain how I feel.

The bus suddenly stops and we all exit with Kakei coming out last.

The bus drives off and we walk to the 'gates' of Yokai.

It had a red front gate along with red walls covered in yellow patterns. At the front of the gate at the top of it had a sign that read, 'Welcome to the Yokai District.'

We all walk in with once again Kakei in the back.

In the walls were tall buildings that looked to be old fashioned japan. With other buildings that weren't modern, stalls, hotels and other random buildings that had the same building style.

Everyone was talking or at least making idle chats as we walked. Except for a few of us but besides that I kept myself occupied with sightseeing.

I turned around after feeling a chill and noticed Kakei was gone.

When I really look around, it looks like not a lot of people are in the streets but ... there is ... they look see through.

When I pay attention to the streets of people- see through and non-see through -it seems ... calming.

Speaking of calming I can't hear anybody that I recognize-

I look forward and notice ... I've lost my group.

I groan in annoyance and facepalm, 'Did I seriously just get myself lost?!' I groan once more but more deeply.

I silently cry to myself and start trudging along the stone paved street while dragging my feet.

Yokai District is quite dark when I look at it even closer. Lanterns light up the streets and tall buildings. While the people who walk these streets take care of the noise.

I sigh and walk over to the side. I lean up against a building to think.

I suddenly jump, getting an idea. I feel around my pockets for my phone and grab it out.

"Yes!" I whisper yell to myself.

I look at my contacts and notice that the only people in there are ... Rani and Louis.

I sigh, 'That's just sad..'

I chuckle at my almost non existent contact list.

I press on Rani's number and wait for him to answer.

"Hello?"

I smile widely hearing Rani's voice.

"Rani! I'm a bit stuck at the moment."

Rani hums concerned.

"I lost the gang and are now resting on the sidelines of the street."

"I see ... have you called the others yet?"

I chuckle nervously and sigh, "Thing is ... I never got their numbers."

Rani sighs, "I thought you did."

"I thought so too but I guess not."

Rani taps his finger on his desk, thinking.

"Alright well I could give you Harvest's number so you two could meet up with the rest."

I nod but quickly remember he can't see me, "Sounds good."

"Alright I'll text you his number ... and (Y/N)?"

I hum and look around just in case I see everyone.

"We should have another talk about ... what happened."

I stop looking and just stare upwards.

"Sure." I mumble.

"Alright, have a good day (Y/N)."

"You to Rani."

He hangs up and I feel my phone ding.

I open up my texts and stare at Harvest's number.

I start to contemplate about calling him. I feel like I just want to go out and explore so...

I do just that.

I start to walk around the town when I stop at a place named, "Cosplay Caspers." I mumble allowed.

I look at the front door and open it.

I walk in and am greeted by a man wearing a fancy tux and bow tie.

He smiles at me from behind the stand.

I nod back at him as he looks down at a book.

He looks back at me and nods, "Hello my name is Casper and what can I do for you today?"

"Table for 1?"

He nods and grabs a menu, signaling for me to follow him.

He has a masquerade mask on, blue skin, purple eyes, dark blue hair and finally some white gloves on.

He places me at a seat in the middle of the room.

I can feel most of the people in the room staring at me as he sets my menu down.

"So may I ask what kind of girl you would like to assist you?"

I almost cough at his words and look at him with a neutral expression, "Girls?"

He nods, "Girls. We have the tsundere type, the loli little sister type, the deredere type, the dandere type, the yandere type, the kuudere type, the kamidere and the himedere type! Of course there are many others but those are the most known."

I nod slowly and think for a moment.

"What girl do you think is best for me?"

He just smiles and places a finger on his chin.

"How about the dandere type?"

I nod and he claps his hands together, "Wonderful! Please wait a moment while we handle the other patrons orders!"

He walks off and I look down at the menu.

The things they have here are simple enough, tea, juice, fruit, pastries, coffee etc.

I look around and see less people staring at me but still a few.

Everyone in here is different- in a good way -and they all look happy.

I also see the girls that are talking to the other customers. They are all acting in their dere types but I can tell the 'mean' ones are having fun, how? I have no idea but I can.

I look at my phone and enter Harvest's number and text him that I'm at a cafe and that the others- him included -can all go and do something and how I'll text him when I'm done.

I send it and put my phone away just in time for my waitress to come over to me.

"He-hello mistress. What may I do for you?"

'Oh boy..'
