"I am going to try and make this quick before Niall interrupts." Maura's appears next to me as I finish the dishes from lunch. She grabs a towel and starts to dry the ones I have already washed. "Because I know it won't last long."
"I am sorry if I-" I start but she quickly shoo's away my words.
"Don't even apologize." Her thick accent rings through my ears. "I am in the wrong here. I have been a total bitch since you got here and it wasn't even for good reason. Not saying there would be good reason to dislike someone." She looks up at me for a moment before moving onto the next plate to dry. "Anyway I hope you could forgive me for everything I have put you through."
"I really do love Niall." I assure her. "I am not trying to get between you and him if thats what you think."
"No I was being selfish. Niall is lucky to have you." She shakes her head. "I have never seen him this happy before and I put my own feelings first and I shouldn't have. Niall's happiness has always been what I have been worried about and I guess for a while I thought this wasn't going to end well."
"What going on in here?" Niall steps into the kitchen.
"We were just talking." Maura shrugs. "Everything is fine now." She nods, leaving Niall and I alone, disappearing into the living room.
"You okay?" Niall makes his way over to me, placing his hands on my hips.
"Niall you can stop asking if I am okay every two minutes." I laugh a little, putting my hands on his hard chest. "I am okay. I am going to be okay." I reassure him, giving him a small kiss.
"So she is letting you call her mum now?" He laughs.
"Not that far but we are getting there." I laugh lightly before there is a knock on the door.
"Are you going to get that?" I question when Niall doesn't budge.
"Fine." He groans, parting from me and I follow close behind him as he makes his way to the front door.
As Niall opens the door the I can already hear the echos of hi's and hey's
Iris, Louis, Zayn and Harry all stand outside on the front porch, hats and mittens on each one of them.
"Guys hello!" I say with a big grin.
Zayn pushes past everyone and hugs me tight. "I missed you. You are the only one I like." He spots the leftover cinnomon rolls from breakfast and let's go of me to go eat them.
"Great to see you too, Zayn." I laugh a little as both Iris and Louis hug me tight.
It finally comes to Harry. He stands in the doorway, rocking back on his heels. "Uh great to finally be here." Harry shakes Niall's hand. "Great to see you again Charlie." He nods at me.
The tension is thick and everyone is uncomfortable.
"Are these made from scratch?" Zayn holds up half a cinnamon roll, asking with a mouth full.
"Uh why don't we all go onto the sun porch." I gesture everyone out to the large indoor sun porch so there is room for everyone.
As Niall shuts the door and turns to follow them I quickly stop him. "You are going to be civil right?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He questions, expressionless.
"Harry is our friend Niall, so be nice got it?" I poke his chest.
Everytime Harry is with us something ends up going wrong. The problem is I really like Harry. He is a great person and a great friend that I can't lose.
"Of course." He nods, taking my hand and leading me onto the sun porch with everyone.
Iris and Louis cuddle on the couch while Zayn sits on the recliner, and Harry sits cross legged on the floor.
"I can't believe you guys are finally here!" I say with a grin as Niall sits down and pulls me into his lap. "I have missed you guys so much."
"It has been boring since you guys left." Zayn groans. "All we do is go to The Pub and drink. There is no juicy drama."
"Well I am sorry you have been so fucking bored Zayn." Niall scuffs, shaking his head.
"But now we are in Ireland so we can go to the pubs here and drink!" Zayn says with a stupid grin.
"Okay done with that now." Iris gives him a weird look before turning back to me. "We have a lot of planning to do." She sits between Louis's legs as he plays with her hair. "Have you even started looking for a dress?"
"Uh, well" I shrug, looking down at Niall for a moment and he just shakes his head in confusion. "I haven't really thought about anything yet."
"You are kidding?' Iris sits up, looking at me wide eyed.
"Nope." I shake my head. "Things have been kind of hectic here."
"Well we should go into town!' She says looking around at everyone. "You lot want to go drink." Iris says rolling her eyes. "We can go look around for the wedding."
"As long as I am not the one buying." Zayn hits Harry on the head, gesturing him to follow as he makes his way to the front door.
The rest of us get up and follow.
"Town isn't that far so we can just walk." Niall nods as we make our way into the crisp morning air.
"How the fuck do you think we got here?" Louis laughs, as him and Iris trail forward. "We already checked into our hotel mate. Ran into your brother, Charlie."
"I really don't want to go out drinking." Niall explains to me, ignoring Louis.
"Yes you do." I nod at him and he glares at me. "Go have fun with your friends. You are just worried that I won't approve. But you are very wrong Niall. I want you to go out with your friends. I want you to let loose because you obviously have been very tense lately."
"Niall come on you fucker!" Zayn yells for him as they near the pub.
He looks down at me, with a worried look.
I grin placing a small kiss on his lips, "Go. Get drunk."
"You want me to get drunk?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Well not hammered but buzzed." I shrug, kissing him one more time before meeting up with Iris.
"Come on." She links her arm with mine. "We have a lot of shopping to do."
