AUTHORS'S NOTE:
Okay so of course I did something dumb and accidentally posted the chapter early and I wasn't done! So if you have already read what I posted first you can skip to the end and read that. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
"Are you making me pancakes?" Charlie stands on her tippy toes trying to look over my shoulder as I stand in front of the stove.
"Yes I am." I grin, flipping a pancake.
We have been at the beach house for a week now. Slowly moving somewhere with our relationship. Harry has called a few times to let me know how things are going with Wilder and there has been no progress.
Charlie has become a more open but she still isn't the Charlie I know and love.
"Do we have whip cream?" She asks, sitting down at the kitchen table.
I grab her plate of pancakes and the can of spray whip cream.
"It's all yours." I sit down across from her, watching as she begins to eat.
"Why do you always watch me eat." She questions with a mouth full.
"I don't know you just look cute." I shrug.
"It's weird." Charlie groans.
"Do you want to get out today?" I ask.
"Go out where?" She takes a finger full of whip cream into her mouth.
"Out."
She takes one last bite of her pancakes and pushes the plate aside.
"I need to get ready." She removes herself from the table and walks back into the bathroom.
I let out a heavy sigh, beginning to do the dishes whilst I hear the shower start.
*20 MINUTES LATER*
I wait on the couch, playing with my hands in nervousness.
I shoot up from my seat when the bedroom door opens. Charlie wears a light unfitted floral dress that hits her legs mid thigh. She wears a black lace bra thing that I don't know the name off. She has on black boots and a white cardigan. Her hair is in its natural curl and still slightly wet.
"Charlie." I choke back my words, looking her up and down. "You look beautiful."
"I didn't know where we were going." She shrugs.
"You look beautiful." I repeat myself.
"You said that." She laughs a bit. "So where are we going?"
"The Belvedere Gardens."
"The what?" Charlie questions as I lead her out of the house. I quickly walk around the car to open her door. I go around to the drivers side and get in, pulling out of the drive way and down to the main road.
"The Belvedere Gardens. It's really popular here. A big tourist spot."
"But you hate people." She sighs. "Why are we going to a place where the most people will be?"
"Because I know you will love it. Also there are only so many things you can do in Mullingar." I shrug.
"I am happy I stayed Niall."
My hands grip the steering wheel in nervousness. I feel like we just started dating.
"Y-you are?"
"I still love you Niall." She bites her lip, keeping her eyes straight forward. "I acted irrationally and I should of listened. I want to try and fix things. Even if it means we are just friends."
