"Will you please try this on?!" Iris points to one of the many white dresses that hang along a long rack. "We have been looking for hours."
"I don't want to decide though." I pout.
"Yeah but it takes months to get a dress finished! So you need to start making decisions soon Charlie." She stresses and calls for a worker to come over. "My lovely friend here would love to try on his dress."
"Alrighty." She says with a big smile. She looks to be about mid forty's with short black hair. She wears dark rimmed glasses. "Well my name is Monica and I will take you back to the dressing area for a fitting."
She takes the dress from Iris's hand and gestures us back to the dressing room.
"I will let you undress and you can call me in when you are ready." Monica smiles before leaving Iris and I alone in the dressing room.
"I can't believe my best friend is getting married." Iris says with a big smile as I undress. "And to Niall of all people."
"I have been hearing that quite a bit lately." I slip into the long flowing dress.
"Well I don't mean it in a bad way." I watch her in the mirror as she shakes her head. "I love Niall. I didn't used to but he has shown me differently. Niall has just never seemed the type to be married."
"Iris." I sign, turning to her with the lacey frabic hanging off my body as I try to hold it up. "Do you think I am making the right decision in marrying Niall?"
Iris looks taken back but the question. "My opinion doesn't really matter does it now?"
"If it didn't matter I wouldn't be asking you."
And I mean it. With all the marriage stuff with Niall, happening so quickly I haven't had time to think. And with no one else around to talk to but Niall all my thoughts have been kept safe in my mind. Weighing me down.
"Well." She stands up, walking over to me, trying to fix the dress. "I have known you since middle school Charlie and I know you are a smart girl. Every since I have first met you, you have been stubborn. You over think things way to much."
"Wow thanks." I scuff.
She ignores me and continues, "And in this case I believe your over thinking has paid off. Niall was a dick at first and we all knew it." She nods. "But you have changed him Charlie. You made him the great man he is today. If he wasn't treating you right you wouldn't be marrying him now would you?"
"I wouldn't." I smile, shaking my head.
"Exactly. And that's why I think this is the best decision you have made in a long time." She goes over to the door, calling for Monica. "I can tell how much he loves you, just by the way he looks at you. Louis doesn't even look at me that way."
Monica enters before I can respond. She comes over to me, zipping the dress along the side.
"So what brings you to Mullingar? This usually isn't the ideal wedding spot for most people." Her thick accent rings through my ears as she straightens out the bottom of the dress.
"My fiance is from here. He wanted to have the wedding here."
"Ah! Who might your soon to be husband be?"
I bit my lip back, "Niall Horan."
Right when his name leaves my lips, Monica stands back up, looking at my reflection in the mirror. "Niall is getting married!?"
"I have gotten that a lot since I have come."
"I am so happy for him!" She smiles. "I have known his familly for as long as I can remember."
"Well then I hope to see you at the wedding."
"And I hope to see you there in this dress." She gestures for me to look up in the mirror and I do.
I am in shock from the beautiful cream color fabric. The intricate design, lined with lace and pearls make me fall in love. Every seam and every pearl baffle me. Not knowing that anything as beautiful as this could ever exsist.
"Charlie." Iris stands, walking over to stand behind me. She holds her hands over her mouth.
"Are you crying?" I question, running my fingers along the dress.
"No." She tries to wipe her eyes without me seeing. "Yes." She laughs. "But it is of happiness."
"Now you don't have to make any decisions any time soon but-" Monica starts but I interrupt her.
"I will take this one." I grin looking down at Monica and Iris.
"I really does look beautiful on you." Monica smiles. "We will just have to set you up for a few fittings and we should be good."
"I will have to talk to Niall about the expenses." I nod and she begins to undo the dress.
"Oh please." She shoo's away my words. "Don't worry about that. Any friend of Maura's is not going to pay."
"I insist." I press. "This dress has to be worth thousands. I am not going to let you just give it to me." I shake my head.
"Well, I was the one who made it, and I am the one who owns this shop so I insist. Now you can leave the dress on the hanger over there and I will schedule the fitting." She nods and leaves before I can object any further.
NIALL'S P.O.V.
"You really aren't going to have one beer?" Louis scuffs, dowing the rest of his pint. "We are at a pub in Ireland for god sake."
"Do you remember what happened the last time I went drinking with you?" I glare at him. "Because as I remember I almost ruined my whole relationship because I was drunk."
"No one said you had to get drunk!" Zayn laughs. "Unless you are a light weight and one beer is going to make you drunk."
"He said he didn't want to drink so why don't you guys lay off." Harry finally pipes up after much silence.
"Someones a bit touchy tonight." Zayn laughs, gesturing for another drink.
"Thanks." I nod at him and he looks away, finishing off his own beer.
"So what are we going to do for your bachelor party?" Louis questions, eyebrows raised in anticipation.
"We aren't doing anything." I shake my head.
"Ugghhhhhhhhh." Zayn throws his head back, groaning loudly. "That stick is so far up your ass."
"We are throwing you a bachelor party and you are coming. Because we are forcing you to come." Louis narrows his eyes are me, "This is a small place Niall."
"You aren't going to be able to find any strippers here." I tell them.
"That's what you think." Zayn laughs, hitting Louis on the shoulder.
I am taking back when two, delicate arms wrap around my torso. "Hello my love." I say with a grin, turning around in the grasp to find Charlie with a big grin on her face.
"I found it." She says, pressing her lips against mine for a brief moment.
"It?" I question, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"I found my dress." She tries to keep herself for grinning by bitting her lip.
"I can't wait for the day that I get to see you in it."
