Before the vast an tall buildings
Before the adulterations of the west
When the world was just beginining
And morality at it's best

Remembering the warrior and the hunters
With their prowess and their gongs
And the singers with the drummers
She couldn't help but dance at the Ancient song

Rachel sat at the corner trying to figure out why she was here again
She hated these aimless parties they meant nothing to her,but she had to come here to cool off
Her mum was fucking making go insane, she's always on about something and it pisses racheal off
Sometimes take a chill pill and relax, it was a fucking new year's eve there's no need to shout phew, raising a kid on your own is tough but don't try and put that frustration on the poor child

Her mum began that morning with Racheal not waking up early enough then went to her not going to church
It wasn't that she didn't like going to church but ma has the wackest taste in picking churches
The new one now is a gathering of some peeps claiming that they're seers and they always have something to say about and her clothes her hair and every freaking thing Rachael puts on her body and Rachael made up her mind she wasn't going to make a crossover to a new year there God forbid it
It pissed her off so much
And she did not conceal that fact from her mum
She slandered that church anytime and any chance she had,and it didn't sit well with her mum

Maybe this party was what she needed to get her mind off the troubles at home
She was gonna get drunk and get laid and forget all about the palavar at home.
Shit was real stressing her out and she had no one to talk to about it
She sighed again and brought her red cup to her mouth to sip a little from the acholic wine she was drinking
Just then a text came in from an unknown number
'Come outside'
She checked the number again was it IJ trying to play another one of het tricks on her, she'd regret it if it was Rachael thought as she grabbed her purse abd made her way to the exit

As she opened the exit she bumped into an older woman
'Sorry ma' she quickly apologized
Afterall what will an older woman be doing here

'Oh you,i brought your gift' the older woman announced gleefully
Racheal looked around to catch the unsuspecting friend who was pulling the prank on her

'Here' she said handing over the box to her still smiling
Racheal opened the box slowly and then the hush wave of silence.
