Great day at school! - note my sarcasm. What is it with everybody today? I mean, ever since I've arrived at school its been; Are you good this and Are you good that! Fuck it! Can I get my own space? Some me time?
Oh, now I remember!
I'm in school where's there's never privacy and space!
I pulled the sleeves of my black hoodie up to my wrist then shoved both my hands inside the large front pocket.
I saw Sam and Collin from afar meanwhile in the corridors. First thought I had in mind was to make a run.
But I guess I was far too late for the move when I heard Collin's voice scream my name. Just great! I huffed loudly.
'Hey, Rob!' - he said with much enthusiasm which I found unnecessary since I wasn't in a chirpy mood. I nodded back in response. I watched his face drop from a hundred percent to zero immediately. Moving my gaze from the sheepish Collin, my eyes met with Sam's.
'How'a ya?' - she randomly studied my face.
'Good, but not in a good mood,' - I paused as soon as I realized it didn't make any sense. I shut my eyes tightly together feeling much of a stupid rather. And added. -'...I mean I great but I'm not in my greatest mood.' - I bit my upper lip shyly. That's what I do when I'm feel intimidated or shy. Which is rare.
'I can tell. Judging from ya face.' - she stated with her eyes still glued on mine. I gripped my lower lip between my teeth awkwardly.
Let me tell you this for free, I never hide my feelings from anyone at all. If I feel a bit intimidated, happy, irritated, sad, or grumpy I show it with no filter. That's how original I am people!
Breaking the awkwardness, I suggested. -'I...uhm better rush off to class.' - with that I marched to my biology class.
***
'Okay, seniors let's look back at the atom and molecules chapter.' - announced Ms. Baige as students started paging their textbooks for the mentioned chapter.
While I, on the other hand was in my own unicorn land. My mind started drifting to my argument with Cal from last night.
Why was he acting like this in a sudden? There must be some shit really going on with him and his life. But I needed to find out.
I jolted when I heard the bell ring.
Finally!
I screamed to myself. Without any doubt, I paced out of the class to the cafeteria. To meet with my squad.
Walking in, I narrowed my pairs around the hall. Till I saw Brooklyn's kinky hair.
There they are...
From a distance I could tell that Sam and Collin were in one of their stupid, monkey debate. And from my eyes, I could tell this one wasn't gonna end pretty well!
'What up you guys!' - I sat next to Sam and opposite to Cruz. They all greeted back except for, you know who.
Eye rolls!
