"Thank you, Miss Collins. Ms Miller, the stage is yours." - announced Ms. Smith as I fidgeted from my seat.Today was presentations day. One of the things I hate doing. And from knowing Ms. Smith, she's absolutely gonna force my butt out of the chair and drag me to the front if I give her the reason to.
Presentations were never my thing actually. I usually get...somewhat stage fright and just freeze like an ugly statue.
Like three decades ago, When I had to do a speech on Pops' 37th birthday in front of a humongous horde! All my family members were present, Pops' as well as Beth's colleagues were there too, a few neighbors, Cal's friends were also there of course. It was a lot!
I cleared my throat unnecessarily before fixing my body posture. -"I...uhm..." - just then the bell rang.
Jesus pulled through just at a sweet moment!!!
"Yes..." - I whispered lowly but loud enough for the whole class to hear and laugh.
"You might have been lucky for today, Ms Miller. But tomorrow it will still shine." - she stated with a bored look on her wrinkled face.
I mentally showed a middle finger to her.
I walked into the cafeteria then saw the rest of my squad from afar. My walked there carrying my tray occupied with lunch.
Cruz was sitting at the table with his normal behavior, Collin was arguing with Sam which I'm not surprised, Brook was sitting there as one of their cheerleader laughing stupidly at whatever nonsense they were arguing about.
I made my seat abreast to Sam and opposite to Collin while Cruz and Brook were opposite to each other.
"Hi, people!" - I greeted as I received a response from them. I must say, I've gotten quite used to them now. Which is rare.
Believe you me, never in my whole entire eighteen years had I made or had friends. And that's weird and unbelievable since I've moved a thousand of times from city to city. Most of the time when I get to the city, it's either I go out to school or lock myself up in my room or even better, skate around the block with my music earbuds on.
"Robbie!" - squeaks Brook seeming more excited to see me. She's always sweet!
"Yo, Robbie." - replied Collin. -"you coming to the beach party tonight?" - he asked taking a bite of an apple held in his hand.
"What will be happening there?" - I asked in confusion.
"Beach party! Meaning there'll be a party taking place...." - chimed in Sam looking my direction.
"Count me in." - I responded shortly after I got Collin's screams of excitement.
"Awesome!"

Sam and Brook promised to fetch me at my house around six thirty late. So I changed into black, baggy cargo shorts and a lime green printed tee and black vans shoes then wore a silver necklace. Oh my hair! I almost forgot I have hair. Oh well, I tied a low ponytail.
