Rhea's POV

A few hours later and we were seeing the happy couple off on their honeymoon. Both of them went inside to change while we gathered outside the front door with our birdseed at the ready. Through the glass window, we saw them and started cheering. They ducked their heads as we tossed the birdseed into the air. Renee and Dad both said their goodbyes before Bella got in the car. I stayed with Carlisle and Esme and the rest of the guests. We watched as the car drove out of sight. The rest of the guests left soon after. I offered to stay and help clean up but Esme sent me home with Dad. I gave Jas a quick kiss goodbye before getting in the cruiser.

The next morning I woke up with a heavy arm draped over my midsection. I rolled over to see Jas sound asleep. I lightly ran my finger over his cheeks, nose, eyes, and finally lips. As my finger reached his lips they gave my finger a sweet kiss.

"Morning," I whispered.

"Mornin'," Jas whispered back.

I moved my head to rest on his chest before closing my eyes once more. The next time I opened my eyes I was being shaken awake. I slowly peeled my eyes open to see Jas hovering above me.

"Darlin'," Jas whispered. "It's time to get up. Charlie will be coming up soon."

"But I'm comfy," I mumbled before pulling Jas to lay back down.

"Rhea!" Dad hollered.

"Yeah?!" I hollered back.

"You have a guest!"

I groaned before sitting up in bed. "I'll be right down!" I pulled on my silk robe, a gift from Alice, and a pair of slippers. I leaned over and gave Jas a kiss on the lips before walking downstairs. I walked into the living room to see "Rose? What are you going here?" She turned around and chocolate brown eyes met mine. "What-How? Your eyes-"

"Early this morning Emmett gave me the serum Carlisle developed from your blood. I don't know how it worked but it does, I'm human again. Well half-human," Rose explained. She rushed over to me and wrapped her arms around me. Wet drops hit my shoulder but I paid no mind to them, I just tightened my hold on her.

After we both calmed down and stopped crying she dragged me upstairs to pick out my outfit for the day. She chose a simple pair of jeans and a plain t-shirt. For shoes, I pulled out a pair of black boots and put on the necklace Jas gifted me as well as my engagement ring. We walked back downstairs to find Dad had already left for work. Rose drove us to her house and to my surprise Esme was half-human as well. Carlisle explained that the serum only worked on females so he had no idea what to do to turn himself and Emmett half-human.

"What if you drank from them?" I asked. Everyone in the room gave me a surprised look. "That's what Jas did from me and that's how he turned. What if it has something to do with the mate bond and my blood."

"We don't feed on humans," Carlisle said.

"It felt different," Jas interrupted. "Unlike any other kill. It was like I had never tasted before but at the same time, I had more control than I have ever possessed. Even now it isn't a struggle to be in a room full of humans. I barely even feel the need to feed on them."

"This could work," I stated.

"How did it feel?" Rose asked.

"It felt... good. There was no pain, just pleasure."

After a bit more back and forth Emmett agreed to try it and if it worked then Carlisle would try it. Nothing more was said on the matter. Esme, Rose, and I spent the afternoon in the kitchen, making every one of their favorite foods they missed tasting. Jas described eating for the first time, everything was an explosion of flavor on the new and enhanced pallet. Carlisle stress for about an hour on how to tell the pack about the new development. I suggested waiting until after Emmett's experiment before calling Sam.

Almost exactly one week later Emmett and Carlisle made the transition and the family informed Sam of the new type of vampire. As expected the pack had many questions and Carlisle answered each of them with patience. From what I could tell the pack seemed okay with the new development. They rather enjoyed the news of the Cullens only having to hunt once a week. Paul was grateful that the sickly sweet stench of leech was dulled. Even Rose was less rigid during the meeting. I asked her about it afterward and she told me that the wet dog smell had almost vanished. Sam wondered where Alice and Ryan were and if they would be making the transition. Carlisle told the pack that Alice and Ryan had decided to go on a vacation during Bella and Edward's honeymoon so they would be ready to help Bella through the transition once they got home. We weren't sure if they would be making the transition or not. Needless to say, it would be a more peaceful relationship between the species.

Jas and I were lounging on my bed at Dad's house. A movie was playing in the background but I hardly paid attention. My head rested on his chest and I was drawing random shapes on his chest. One of his arms was supporting his head while the other was wrapped around my waist.

"Let's go somewhere," Jas said.

I moved my head to look up at him, "where do you want to go?"

"It's a surprise. Pack for warm weather." Jas sat up, forcing me up with him.

"Wait, we're going now?" I asked, surprised.

"Why not? You pack and I'll be back in a few hours."

Jas gave me a swift kiss before walking downstairs. I groaned before walking to my closet and picking up the suitcases from the back of my closet. I filled it with sundresses and a few shorts and tank tops. I packed my sandals, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Dad came up to my room and he helped me drag my suitcase downstairs. As promised Jas returned in a few hours and we were off, just like that.
