On the other side of town was Dev. He had just left the town. The moon was only a few minutes away from being full. Dev looked at the sky and admired the moon for a little bit. He quickly kept walking along. He was busy thinking about all of the evidence. "Sure there are a few missing pieces," he thought, "but the kid has to be a werewolf." Dev kept walking forward and thinking. It was then, in the distance, he saw a large beast. It saw him too.
The beast began to run straight toward him. Dev could start to see it clearly. It had fur, all over its body. It's teeth were long and jagged. It's snout was pointed and sharp. It looked skinny and malnourished. The claws on it were long. The eyes, once in view, were pitch black. It was then that the thought hit Dev, it was a werewolf.
Dev turned and bolted into the town, with it catching up to him quickly. Dev began to run on the main road hearing the click of his shoes against the brick. It had only been a few seconds when he heard more clicking from behind. He jumped into a small alleyway. He slammed onto the floor. He laid there for a second. The wind was knocked out of him. Then, he felt a claw poking at his shoe. He looked behind him to see, while still gasping for breath, the werewolf, with a claw on his shoe. He could smell it now. It reeked of blood and body odor. It also incorporated the smell of dogs. The werewolf pulled hard, but it only yanked off Dev's shoe. Dev, finally catching his breath, said, "Good thing I don't like my shoes tight." The beast roared at him. It started to squeeze into the small space.
Dev picked himself up and ran out of the alley. He started to run down the street. "All I need to do," he thought, "is keep running and ducking into side streets." He then looked behind him to see the werewolf squeezing out of an alley on the opposite side he had just run out of. Dev managed to get a good twenty feet ahead, until he started to hear clicking behind him. Dev looked forward and could see no side street. "Well, damn," he thought, "I think I might be dead." A few seconds had passed and the clicking was right behind him. Then, the ground started to shake and crack. The clicking stopped. Dev tripped and fell onto the floor. He was struggling to breath.
"Hey, are you okay," yelled a voice from behind. Dev's head was spinning. The voice got louder, "Hey, did you get hurt." Dev recognized it. The voice belonged to Jenn. Next to her were Bit and Gen. "No, I think I'm fine," Dev said. He started to pick himself up. "What was that," asked Bit. "It's a werewolf," said Dev and Gen. "And by the looks of it," Gen continued, "it's the offspring of the skeleton in the cemetery." Dev looked at Bit, "What does he mean?" Bit quickly explained what she had found. Dev then quickly explained what he had learned, minus the part about the mayor and the other werewolves, he subbed in a different, rouge group of werewolves.
"So," said Jenn, "let me get this straight. About 10 years ago, Bif met a woman, and this lady was a werewolf, but he was married to Diana, and, for some reason, couldn't just divorce her. Instead, he killed Diana and buried her in the back of Sera's yard. Then, the werewolf lady disguised herself as the wife. Then they lived together for eight years until John, the werewolf right here, was born. The werewolf lady then died in childbirth. Eventually, Tom discovered the dead body when doing some landscaping. He then started to investigate it on his own. Then Bif, because he learned about what Tom was investigating, killed him as well." Dev said, "It sure seems like it," Gen nodded, "What about the kid?" "He should go back to normal in a minute or two. The transformations are quite short."
Crying began to come from the box. Jenn let down the box. Bit walked over to him and said, "Hey little one, it's okay we are here to help." John looked up at her and stopped crying. "What happened," he asked. Bit said, "Something that is now taken care of okay." John still looked sad. He said, "My legs and arms hurt." Dev walked over and asked, "Hey I'll carry you home if you want." John nodded. Dev picked him up and carried him on his back. The group then began to walk to Bif's place.
