"i-if I can't have you, no one can"

She had chosen the boy genius. 

(3rd person)

Evangeline walked up the bleachers and sat down on one of them. She watched as Carter made his way gracefully around the rink. He made his way into a salchow, landing it perfectly. He skated towards the wall grabbing his water bottle when he saw her. The man gave her a small wave along with a quick "Hi". Evangeline got up from her seat and walked down to where Carter was standing.

"Hey" Evangeline said smiling at the man in front of her. "So, undercover agent." He looked at Evangeline cautiously. "Hah, uh yeah...It wasn't really my idea. My co-worker found out I could skate and took the chance when we were here. So I played the role of the new girl in town." Evangeline replied. "So you lied? Was anything real. Was the other night real?"

"Of course it was real. I'm real." She grabbed his hand holding it in her own. Surprisingly he let her. "The only lie I told you was me moving here. The skating was real, but I had an accident, the doctors said if I kept skating after my accident I could get hurt again. So I went to college, studided psychology as well as some other things. I joined the BAU and I became a FBI profiler at Quantico. We came here on a case. Before we came my past caught up to me and my co-workers found out about my skating. They don't know about my accident, only one of them does....I went undercover. You already know that though...We leave later today. I wanted to come and say good bye."

"One last skate?" Carter asked looking at her. Evangeline nodded and went into her bag grabbing the pair of skates she had been using out. Evangeline sat down and started lacing up her skates. "Was what there was between us real?". 

Evangeline looked up at Carter. "Yeah...but"

"There's someone else isn't there?"

"Sort of, it's complicated cause he's my coworker. Let's not talk about though. Let's not focus on that c'mon let's go skate." Evangeline smiled and stood up walking out onto the ice skating along side the wall of the rink. She grabs her phone and plugs it into the speakers pressing Never Tear Us Apart. At this point Carter has made his way towards her. He skates past her grabbing her hand as she skates towards him. They make their way around the rink doing multiple jumps and tricks. They had been working on the choreography and all the jumps and lifts they were to do in this piece. They had stayed late one of the nights before and had woken up bright and early. Brian had them practice some of the jumps but this was the first time they were putting all of it together. Although it seemed as if they had practiced it 100 times beforehand. Towards the end of the song they spin and lower their body closer to the floor (the gif above) Carter leans in and kisses Evangelines forhead, he grabs  something from behind his back and stabs it into Evangelines side. Evangeline opens her mouth and gasps. "C-carter". The girl holds her hands to her sides where she can see a dagger jabbed into the left side of her body.  She looks up at the boy in front of her as he gently lays her down on the ice. "Y-you said you would never leave, never leave like Kelly did. Now you're leaving me for another man...I-if I can't have you, then no one can." Carter moves a strand of hair from her face and stands up skating off the ice. He grabs his stuff and leaves Evangeline laying in the middle of the rink. Carter runs out the door leaving Evangeline bleeding out in the middle of the rink.
