On Saturday, Liz was at home, catching up on homework again. Particularly math. Her cell phone rang and she looked at the caller ID. It was Drake. She squealed for a second and calmed herself before answering it.
“Hello,”
“Hey, do you want to meet up at the public library to write our report for the chemistry project? I know it's last minute and all but I'm free and have nothing to do anyway...” he trailed off.
“Yeah, I would like to but...”
“But?”
Liz sighed. “I'm catching up on my math homework. Got tons of it and I'm having trouble with them,”
“How about I make you a deal?”
“A deal?” Liz was confused.
“Yeah. Don't worry. I won't take your money or anything precious,” he assured.
She giggled then said, “So what's the deal?”
“We meet at the library in half an hour's time. Bring your math homework and our chemistry textbook. I'll help you with your math while we're doing our project. Is that okay?”
That's more than okay, she thought, a few hours with Drake? Wow...
“Okay, sure! Wow, thanks! See ya,” she replied enthusiastically.
“See you,”
She looked at the clock, only ten minutes to get ready as she needs twenty minutes to get to the library.
Better start thinking about what to wear, she thought.
