Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon, and never will.
The morning announcements were boring as usual on an even more boring Monday morning.
Almost no one ever listened to it, but I started doing so recently as Drew was making fun of me for not knowing what was going on.
Why was I even at this school? Thing was, it was required of every child from 14 to 18 to attend high school. This system was set up so even trainers and co-ordnaters could get a solid education so there would be no regrets on not being able to get a job later in life.
I was attending Union high, as of now. Only the best trainers and co-ordnaters of the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions were excepted.
I had gotten in!!!!
And as previously mentioned, my Grassheaded rival had made it in as well. One would think that it would be a total pain, but as annoying as he is, I'm glad he's here.
Several reasons:
1) He has become one of my best friends ever!
2) I know I can always count on him.
3) Our rivalry and our friendship won't drift apart because we hadn't seen each other in four years.
4) it's nice having someone you know there to support you. (Even if he does so by insulting me.)
5) He's honest and loyal, and no matter what he says, I know he would never leave my side.
6) Surprisingly, he's actually really protective. If anything tried to hurt me, or if someone wouldn't stop making advances on me, you would prefer to have a personal body guard on your trail.
7) Have I mentioned that he's my best friend?
8) He pushes me so I don't get out of practice with co-ordnating.
9) He tends to pull me back together when I need it, and then tears me apart with his arrogant-ness afterward.
10) When he's not being a jerk, he's actually the sweetest person I know.
11) Well... I might have the smallest, itty bittyest, tiniest crush on him?
Oh, who was I kidding. I had a crush on him bigger than a Wailord. We're talking I've-liked-him-for-five-whole-years major league crush.
"Teachers," the announcements blared. "I would like you to take the next few seconds to gather your student's attention. This is extremely important."
Everyone was listening, but that's not to say no one was talking.
"There has been another attack caused by the B and B."
Everyone fell silent.
Everyone knew of the B and B. They were... High school assassins to put things simply.
No, they did not kill. But hey did badly injure their targets if their demands were not met.
They excepted clients, and did their best to make that client's wishes come true. Want revenge on that girl for stealing your guy? They're your gang.
Everyone feared them. They had a way of taking down even the strongest and most athletic students using strong offenses, and out numbering their target. And anyone who gave away information became a target.
"This is a safety hazard to all of the students. I you know anything, ANYTHING, please tell a teacher immediately. Thank you, and you can go back to ignoring the important messages I am telling you."
That was one thing I love about Principle Cynthia. Always has the best sense of humor, and knows her students.
Drew (who happens to be next to me in home room) and I exchanged nervous glances. Well, mine was nervous, but his was more of a reassuring 'everyone's going to be okay' look, but I think he was trying to convince himself as much as me
"Okay, class! On a happier note, let's practice the song we made to remember the types!"
----------------------
As usual, Drew was walking me back to my door. I would do so with my best friends/room mates, but their last classes are on the other side of campus making it very impractical to walk together.
"Interesting line you used during drama, eh June?"
I glared at him, ready to strike if necessary. "Hey! We only just got off script!!"
"So that's your excuse for saying the wrong line, causing one of the main plot points to make no sense because of it?"
My cheeks puffed up in a pout. "This is why they have rehearsals, okay?"
"Well then you should be glad that there are rehearsals because you need them."
"Well excuse me if I don't like reading over the last part!"
He fell silent.
The thing is, we had gotten the leads! ...In a romance play.
In the end is confessions, then... The kiss.
It's not like I don't want to kiss Drew, I believe my crush on him has already been established. I just don't want my first kiss to be taken away from me for a play, and I don't think Drew wants his lost like that either.
"Can we just... Not talk about that right now?"
"Sure. See you tomorrow, Drew."
"See ya, July."
"IT'S MAY!!!!!!!"
"August."
Ugh. Infuriating Grasshead....

This is me rewriting the first multi chap I finished, because the first draft was horid.
I hope you guys like this one!
Oh, and I would like to thank Amphy/Mebergold for helping me with the ending. She knows the whole plot and read the first version, so please no spoilers!!!!!!
