The Moons Mission /Jack Frost and Elsa Modern AU

Chapter 1

My name is Jack Frost. I live alone in a small house in the forest. Family? I don't really have one because I got sent to earth by the man in the moon. I've got a mission. That's the reason I'm here he told me. What happened before I got sent here? I don't know. I know something must've happened but I can't remember anything and the man in the moon won't talk to me about it. Ah well, but living here on earth on my own isn't that bad. I can do whatever I want whenever I want, at least that's what I've been doing for the past 4 weeks since I've been sent here. I really adore having a family like the other people here though, having real people who want the best for you.

Today the man in the moon and I have our weekly talk and he promised to tell me the exact mission I have. I'm so excited to find out! As long as it's not some boring exhausting thing to do.. The last 4 weeks were supposed to make me get used to my environment he said. After that my mission can start.

Well I better get up and climb the tree beside my house, there we always talk.
Slowly I move my legs from the couch I had been sitting on. Books lay on the floor, I really like the ones with interesting stories, they help getting to know humans and what they want in life better. I move them aside and make my way to the tree, I can see that its almost midnight from the clock hanging on the wall.

There he is. The moon, bright and half full this night.
"Good evening, man in moon."
"Good evening Jack. I hope the past week has been as teaching as the ones before." the man in the moon says.
"Yeah, I read a few books here, spent a little time in the parks or shops here and there and I even cooked some new things. I really didnt know how good peanut butter is, it goes with sweet and savoury stuff did you know that?" I tell him excited. Silence. "Right, you don't really eat.. Uhm however, you're gonna tell me about my mission today! You said that last week!"

"Yes Jack. I'm glad to see you're enjoying your time here. I believe you are ready to do what you're here for.
Your mission is to find someone. Someone with the purest heart. Someone who would never want to hurt anyone. Someone who seems different than everone else, almost like they're not from this world. You'll know who I mean when you get to know them. They don't know that you're looking for them, they don't know anything about this mission but when you find them I'll explain everything to them."

"Whoa.. that seems complicated.. Do you know how many people there are in this world, in this place alone? How am I supposed to find a single person?"
"Don't worry Jack. I already know where they are approximately, but I don't know the exact person. That's how it is whenever I'm looking for them. The exact person has to be found by a human sent by the man in the moon themselves, because only they have a way of looking into another person's mind and heart."
"But how can I look into someones mind? All I can do is talk to them that doesn't really make me able to see what they think and a lot of people don't speak about everything that is in their mind so.."

"That's why you're getting a gift from me right now. I give you the power to read one person's mind at a time. Be really careful with this power, it can be really disturbing because most humans wouldn't want their minds to be read."
"What? I.. I can read people's minds now! That's crazy!! Thank you so much! That'll be.. interesting.. You said I should find someone with the purest heart. The person I'm looking for has to have a pure mind as well then, right?"
"Yes Jack, I trust that you won't use your power for anything else than the mission."
"I promise I'll do my best to find the person you're looking for, you said I'll know who it is when I've gotten to know them so that should be ok. But what about that you already know where they are approximately? What do you mean by that?"

"Next week you'll be attending a school around here. In this school and maybe even in the class you'll be joining the person you're looking for should be. To complete the mission you don't just have to physically find the person, you'll have to find a way to their heart. Only then the person will really be willing to take on the plans I have for them. Do you understand?"

"Yes. Wait, what plans are you talking about?"
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that yet Jack. But I can tell you that you'll have a future after all of this."
"Ok I guess I'll have to go with that, you're the one who sent me here after all and I believe what you do is for the right purpose.. One question, which school will I be attending? And how about the registration?"
"The school is called Amberlight school. You're registrated there already, call it a little moon magic, the teachers there will be expecting you for tomorrow. Get a good night's sleep, look at the city's map to find your way there, the first period starts at 8:00 am, you'll be there until 1:00 pm, I believe it's one of your shorter days there. I hope you informed yourself about schools and education like I told you."

"I did. I don't get how all of that information is spread across so many years, I was able to pretty much learn all of it in 3 days."
"That's because you're no regular human. I have to warn you, the people there don't have the abilities you have. To make everything easier, you have to try to act as normal as possible, don't get everything right, try to give some wrong answers sometimes otherwise the teaches might ask further questions about your past and we'll have to think of something. Do you understand?"

"So I'm too smart for them, that's funny.. Ah but of course I understand, I'll be able to read the teachers mind to prevent something from happening and I promise I'll act like a regular human. This will be so much fun! Except for that I have to get up that early.."

"Well Jack, then you better get to sleep. I trust that you'll fulfill your mission. Well meet again next week."
"Yeah man in moon.. but wait! You didnt tell me how long I have until I find them and also for how long I'll be going to that school!"
"You have all the time you need but since the class you'll be attending graduates next year and you'll go to school until then then you I hope you find the person until next year."
"Alright, with my mind reading powers that should be doable. I should really get to sleep now, good night man in moon! Even though you don't really sleep.."

With that I go down the tree and into the house and I get a writing block, a pen and pencil and a water bottle. I put all of it in a backpack I bought. Good that man in moon gave me money, other people have to work for it, I think to myself.
Looking at the map I figure I'll need around 20 minutes to get to the school.
I set the alarm clock beside my bed to 7:30 am, then I jump straight into bed. Tomorrow I might see the person with the purest heart on earth. And I'll even be able to read people's minds. That is going to be interesting. And a lot of fun. I can't wait. With these thoughts I slowly fall asleep.
