Chapter 2

Riing riiiing riiiiiing
Bam, my hand hit the alarm clock. Some peace and quiet finally. Ah no, I have to get up, right. I open my eyes and got blinded by the brightness of the sun, it is already up since it is the end of summer now. Ok well then.. Get ready. What am I gonna wear.. is there a school uniform? As far as I know not. I'll just go with a t-shirt and some pants.. Now onto food. I'm not hungry.. It's too early.. I'll just eat when I get home. That will be easy. Good, I'm ready I think as I make my way out of the door, the backpack on my shoulders. Ah wait, shoes! It hits me and I put on some sneakers, normally I never wear shoes but since it's a normal thing for people to do I'll have to do it.
I walk out of the house taking my keys and putting them in my pockets and get the map out of my backpack. I start walking towards the school..

5 minutes until it's 8:00 am. Perfect. I'm not gonna be late I think as I enter the big building in front of me which has a big clock on the front wall. What's my room? In which direction? I don't know. I'm new here so I'll just ask a teacher. They'll know what to do. I look around the entrance hall. There are 4 pathways, 2 in the back of the room and 1 on the left and right side. The one on the left leads to an outside area, that must be for the break time. The other ones lead to different halls. The walls are blue, and there are big windows on the left and right side. Some plants stand at the sides of the passages. Not bad, I think..

A teacher! Quickly I approach an elderly woman to my right side
"Hello, I'm Jack Frost, a new student here. Who are you?"
"Mrs Yusa. Can I help you in some way?"
"Nice to meet you Mrs Yusa and yes, I don't know where my class now is or which teacher leads it. It would be very kind of you to tell me."
"Ah, I'm afraid I don't have an idea about who could be teaching you, but I'll take you to the principal, just come with me."
"Ok, thank you" I reply as I start following her..

Then it hits me. I can read others minds now!! I have to try it!
I look at Mrs Yusa and think about reading her mind..
~Jack Frost. What an interesting name, I never met someone with a name like that. Maybe their family is new here?.. It would certainly be good if he was in my class.. he seems more polite than any of those other boys there, ugh, I'll have to see Robin after I've done this.. and Jaden and George... I bet they'll just talk through the whole lesson like they always.. Ah there the office!~
I stop reading her mind. Whoa. That was
.. interesting. My head hurts a little.. Maybe it's because I have to focus so hard on the person? Or was it just too long? Or do I need time to get used to it? .. I'll see.

We enter the principals office. It's a room with wooden floor, just like in the rest of the school but the walls here are green.
"Mr Dunges, I have the new student, Jack Frost with me, do you know his teacher and the classroom he has to go to now?"
"Ah there he is. Welcome at our school Jack, I hope you've come prepared. Your teacher will be Mr Bow and the classroom is B24, the way to it is left from here then take a right turn and you should see it."
"Thank you Mr Dunges and it's nice to meet you!" I tell him as Mrs Yusa leads me to the door.
I remember I didn't even try reading his mind but now it's too late, gotta find my class.
"Bye Mrs Yusa, have a nice day!"
"Goodbye Jack, same goes for you, I hope you make some friends."
I walk to my class as I hear the bell ring.

When I want to enter the classroom a man tells me
"You must be the new student, Jack Frost, is that right?"
"Yes that's me."
"I'm Mr Bow, and I'll be your teacher"
"Its nice to meet you, I can't wait to meet my new class." I tell him as I want to read his mind
~That's him. Hopefully not another one if these exchange students that have no idea about everything..~
"I've come prepared, I know that this year we'll start with writing a speech analysis for English is that correct?"
"Ah, yes that is correct.."
~He seems to at least know something.. We should get going~
Ha! I just used my mind reading to convince him how funny! But I also shouldn't use it too often, that might be suspicious, I remember.
