The Newborn Baby

All of Jack and Claire's families and friends pack their bags and make a trip back to Honolulu, whilst Claire begin to give birth to her baby, with Jack by her side. 

After 14 hours of labor, Claire made one final big push, and lets out a massive scream. "That's it!", the doctor replied, as the baby came out, crying.

"It's a boy!", the doctor replied with a smile on his face. Claire cried with joy and Jack kisses her head, as the doctor gives Claire her baby. As Claire first held him in her arms, she instantly fell in love, and so did Jack. "Oh, hi baby.", she cried, as she held him. "Hey, little guy.", Jack sighed.

"Isn't he beautiful?", she asked. "He's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my whole life.", Jack sighed, as he looks at his son, who is sleeping. Jack and Claire remain in the hospital, enjoying their newborn son. 

The next day, Jack helps Claire with her pillows, before carrying their baby out of his medical crib and into Claire's arms. Then a nurse came in. "Hi, sorry to interrupt, but your friends and family are here to see you both.", the nurse replied. "Thank you, I'll be there in a sec.", Jack smiled, as the nurse leaves. 

Moments later, Jack arrives to the waiting room, where his and Claire's families and friends were waiting. "Jack!", Sam cried, as he and Dean goes up to him and they reunite at last. The three brothers had their moment before Jack reunites with Chris. "You guys ready to come in and meet the baby?", Jack asked. 

"Yes, we all are.", Kelly smiled. "Follow me.", Jack smiled, as he lead everyone to Claire's room. Claire was in bed, holding her baby in her arms, as Jack came in with their families and friends. Amanda gasp when she first saw her newborn grandson in Claire's arms. 

"Mom!", Claire cried. "Claire!", Amanda cried, as she and Charlie reunite with her, before Claire reunites with Kelly and Hannah. "This is our son.", Jack replied, introducing the newborn baby to everyone. "He's beautiful, Claire.", Charlie replied. "Congratulations, you guys.", Crystal smiled. 

Everyone was able to take turns at holding the baby and looking at him. "Have you named him yet?", Hannah asked. "We have actually, Claire and I have been talking about it.", Jack replied. "Everybody, meet Thomas Ashton Kelly.", Claire replied. "Or Tom, for short.", Jack smiled. "That name is perfect.", Kelly smiled.

3 days later, Claire was discharged from the hospital, but Tom isn't old enough to fly back home yet, as the airline insist that a newborn baby has to be 2 weeks old enough to fly on a plane. So the couple stayed in Honolulu, until Tom was 2 weeks old. Their friends flew back to Kansas, while their families stay behind to help the couple. 

2 weeks later, Tom was old enough to fly back home to Los Angeles with his parents and the couple settle back home in LA and back into their penthouse apartment. Jack returns to work, while Claire is still on leave, to look after Tom. Parenthood became tough and tiring, as the couple doesn't get enough sleep, but it was worth it.
