chapter five: false alarm

THIRD PERSON'S POV :The next morning Arturo woke up feeling as though he was looking forward to something ,he steps into the shower and after a long relaxing bath he stepped out of the shower and put on his navy blue Armani suite room and find Samuel and Alexander playing together. Alex runs to him
"Daddy daddy look what uncle bought me ,"he shows him the new action figures
"That's awesome champ go get ready for school I need to have a word with Uncle Samuel."he nods and takes off running with his nanny calling out to him
"So what's up ,you sounded pretty serious and you look expectant what's going on."he smiled his brother know him more than he can even know himself .
"Well first things first you came here on transfer to Cambridge right ,so when are you going to start the enrollment process."
"Umm I'm heading over there today I'll call you if I need your signature on any document ,so what's got you all excited."
"I'm not excited I'm about to put one arrogant woman in her place ."
"Arrogant woman? Who are you talking about?"
"Well she's a buisness woman more like a major interior designer and I want to buy her company shares so I can sell it or improve it and turn it into my new branch the location is perfect but the stupid woman refuses to sell."
"Well I hope you get your way ,but it's quite interesting to see you all worked up over a woman."
"Don't get any ideas,I don't even know what she looks like."
"How's that even possible ,you always gather information about people you want to go into business with so what changed."
"Well obviously nothing changed ,I just didn't request for her picture that's it ,I want to be surprised today."
"But why? Do you know what don't answer that just do what you want I'm heading out I'll be back later.
"Bye I've gotta go anyways the meeting is starting in 30 minutes."with that he carried his car keys and left
************IN THE OFFICE**********
ARTURO'S POV: I hastily enter the building I have to meet with the Japanese investors after this meeting so I need to get it over with soon. Immediately I entered the building the entire reception fell silent and everyone stood erect as they carried on with their work Egnasio made his way towards me.
"Sir she has arrived and she's waiting for you ."
"Okay tell miss presten I'll see her just now."
"Miss Presten? No sir you have a meeting with miss Damion."I internally groaned not today oh please not today I'm in no mood for her shamelessness
"Egnasio are you bloody stupid didn't you tell me the day that you came back from a meeting that I'm meant to meet miss presten?"
"No sir that's not what I meant I'm sorry if my timing or tone implied that you were meeting with miss presten ,that meeting is next week Tuesday by 9:45."
"She's my first appointment ? what is wrong with you egnasio you know how I get when my mornings get ruined and you still made her my first appointment ? You are really getting on my nerves one more mistake like this and I won't hesitate to fore you and you know I don't bluff ." I hung up , frustrated well there goes my peaceful morning

SAMUEL'S POV : I stepped out of the Chancellor's office after the long and exhausting enrollment process I made a mental note to remind Arturo to come with me to sign those papers ,I followed the guys that offered to show me around the school ,I was extremely bored and in need of something exciting to do ,I shift my gaze around lazily ,when suddenly I spotted a girl ,well technically I can't really call her a girl but i..well it's complicated,i couldn't see her face clearly because her hair was all around her face like a curtain thick and silky brown hair,I notice that the guy was holding her forcefully and she was trying to pry her hands away from his ,anger from only God know where surges through me and I ask the guy that was helping me to excuse  me for a moment ,I headed straight to them and removed her hands from his ,he looked at me and glared I recognized him instantly he's that vice senator's son
"Back up idiot that doesn't concern you."
"Well technically it is my business ."
"Really and what exactly makes this your business huh? Who do you think you are to interfere with Henry valencio  ?"
"Look dude I need you to unhand  my girlfriend right this minute ."the  girl  raised her head and stared at me I almost forgot to breathe literally her eyes were a beautiful shade of captivating grey a very sensual hue
"Are you crazy you are new here I've been here since she started here and I didn't see any sign of you so you have 5 minutes to get out before I make you regret interfering with Henry valencio ."
"I'm not about to explain the origin of our relationship to you but I assure you that we have been dating for 6 months now ."I stared directly into her eyes transfixed by the colour .he snapped rudely at me breaking the eye contact.
"Look who are you and what's your name ?"
"Do you really not know who I am Henry?"
"You're a San Gorgorio aren't you?"
"Well it seems like an introduction isn't necessary since you already know me and you won't stop introducing yourself ,now let her go now."he releases her all the while glaring daggers at me.
"This isn't over both of you nobody deprives Henry valencio of what he wants."
"Dude stop telling me your name I'm sure half the school knows your name because of how many times you mention it." People watching tried to  stop their laughter .he glares at me then at her and he leaves ,the pretty girl looked up at me I could almost see the gratitude and relief she felt
"Are you alright miss ".I flashed her one of my knees weakening smiles and she smiles back softly
"Yes actually I'm fine all thanks to you."her voice ....I sighed it sounds like a pleasant melody
"Of course it's thanks to me ,if I wasn't there only God knows what would have happened to a poor defenseless girl like you."

MAIA'S POV:  I almost gasp hold up did he just call me poor , defenseless and hold up did he call me a girl, the nerve of this devastatingly handsome guy ,with his damned perfect eyebrows and his soft dark brown hair ,his pointed nosed and his heart shaped soft luscious lips...focus Maia stop ogling the dude ,I realized I had been staring and he must have read my mind cause he was smirking and I almost dropped dead this dude is a walking Greek God,I immediately remembered why I'm upset in the first place
"First of all as much as I appreciate your help I don't appreciate the fact that you think I would have died if it wasn't for you that's an extremely indiscreet and thoughtless comment to make about a woman ."
"Offensive comment ,oh oh oh how didn't I see this coming you're one of those Rich brats aren't you?"
"Are you crazy well if your intention was to ruin your previous impression then mission accomplished arrogant ass, firstly I am not poor or a rich brat, secondly I was not desperate I'm not feeling well today if not I would have put Henry in his place in no time I still would have done it today but you decided to show up and play hero ,and thirdly I am in not a girl."I said in almost one breath I stared at him trying to weigh his reaction but he didn't do anything I just stood like a statue ,I took a deep breath and tried to call my nerves .
"Look thanks a lot but I take care of myself because of guys like you who think ladies can't defend themselves ,have a nice day ."
"Alright then young woman have a nice day as well."I watched him leave the premises his has a very cute butt I scolded myself and groaned as I saw him enter a red Ferrari even his ride is sexy.

********IN ARTURO'S OFFICE********
ARTURO'S POV: I took a deep breath and stepped into the office , immediately she saw me she darted to her feet and came to stand beside me
"Arturo my love how are you I've been waiting and you know I don't like waiting." If only I knew that it was her I won't have even come.
"Well I'm sorry I just didn't know I was meeting with you."
"Oh okay then no hard feeling handsome."she leaned on my desk giving me an unwanted clear view of her cleavage ,her perfume was so strong and intoxicating I'm finding it hard to breath ,I lean back into my chair hoping to escape the smell.
"Okay miss Damon what's the matter that you claimed was urgent?"
"Well first of all baby you don't need to call me miss Damon that just makes me sound old and we both know that I'm anything but old ."she winks at me and licked her lips in an attempt to look sexy but she ended up looking like someone suffering a convulsion ,and what's up with her and calling me baby?
"Well that's for sure you are anything but old and I am anything but a baby ."she made this irritating sound that I soon got to know was the sound of her laughter ,like seriously who laughs like that
"Miss Damon I am a very busy man did you come for work or what I have a meeting in 40 minutes if you aren't here for business then leave ."
"Wow grumpy much ,you know that is not the way to speak to the daughter of an investor that you need."I laughed the woman really thinks highly of herself and her father.
"I'm sorry to burst your bubble ma'am but I need to correct you on something I do not need anyone for any reason what so ever so you better start talking before I throw you out on your fake ass."I didn't sound angry at all I sounded calm and collected even though her techniques were really starting to upset me .I heard her gasp as I mentioned her fake ass ,I almost laughed at the expression on her face silly woman .
"Fine then here daddy said I should give this to you he said that it's important and that you should review and give him feedback immediately it's from the Japanese investors ."she handed me the documents I inspected them very impressed by the organization of the file
"I like it ,the file is in order and the deal seems good I'll discuss with my production manager and hear his opinion on the matter."
"Okay then that's all for now , we're done with business now can we talk about other things."I stared at my rolex wristwatch
"Unfortunately I have a meeting right now and I don't have time for small talks."
"Arturo I love you, please give me a chance ,just one date I'll make sure you forget your wife's name ."I chuckled that's rich
"Have a great day ma'am."I picked up my phone and called Egnasio
"Yes I'm done with my meeting tell the client I'll meet with him now ."
"Right away sir ."I hung up and put my phone back in my pocket. This was pure torture women are all the same they never know when to stop.
