Gary and Miles went to the library. They opened the door and went in. When they're inside, they started walking pass the shelves after shelves.

"They surely have bunch of books," Miles pointed out, "I wonder if the librarian will notice if I stole one?"

"What the hell?" Gary was taken aback, "Why would you think about that?"

"Come on, Gary!" Miles laughed, "I only said it in jest!"

"Silence!" a soft-spoken girl exclaimed, "Your filthy mouths have no place in here!"

The two looked where the voice came from. It came from a short, authoritarian looking teenage girl wearing a huge, thick-framed eyeglasses and black overalls while a red scarf is wrapped around her neck.

"It's your fault, Gary!" Miles complained, "You've spoken out loud as if you've forgotten it was a library."

"Excuse me?" Gary mumbled, "Would you stop blaming me for your own faults!"

"If you're not here to read," the girl warned, "Then I'm afraid I have no choice but to pull you outside along with your companion over there."

They looked where the girl is pointing at. They were surprised to find out that Marina is behind them where she glanced at them embarrassedly.

"Marina?" Miles asked.

"Sorry," Marina apologized, "I just preferred following you."

"Come on," Gary laughed, "You don't have to do that!"

"Yeah," Miles continued, "You're our first friend in this town so why don't you join us instead?"

"Me?"Marina asked, "Friend?"

"What?" Gary surprisedly asked.

"That's it," the girl interrupted, "You left me no choice but to pull you outside."

"No," Miles refused.

"Listen," Gary explained, "We are here to know the story of our ancestors."

"Pardon?" the girl asked, "This is a library not home for the aged."

"Gary, Miles," Marina called, "Show her your birthmarks."

Gary and Miles looked at each other while Marina and the girl watch them seriously.

"Not again," Miles mumbled.

Gary showed his elbow and Miles pulled her dress up to show her flank to Charlotte. She looked at them and was surprised about their birthmarks. She walked slowly backwards while a shocked expression was displayed on her face.

"No," Charlotte mumbled, "This can't be real."

"What do you mean?" Gary asked.

She continued walking backwards. Meanwhile, the three was still confused about what's going on with Charlotte. They approached her but she didn't stop.

"Impossible," Charlotte shook her head in denial, "Are you really...?"

"Watch out!" Miles screamed.

She ignored Miles's scream and stepped a foot backwards causing her to trip on a shelf which knocked several books to her.

"Kya!" she screamed as the book started falling to her.

Charlotte was instantly buried by a bunch of books. Miles and Marina looked worried while Gary ran to her and removed the books that covered Charlotte. After a few seconds, Charlotte was now visibly leaning on the shelf while the rest of her body was on the ground and her unbroken eyeglass was on her lap. She was approached by Gary whose hand was lent to her. Charlotte wore her eyeglass and grabbed his hand for her to stand up.
