It was midnight, I think 2AM and we kept the windows down and let the winds in. Do you remember that feeling? The skies were dark and the roads were quiet but I remember our music was so loud. The city-lights were drunk, flickering and screeching on every turn we took, the world was before us from right where we stood.

Chills and shivers, long breaths, flying hair, headlights and silhouettes. I heard you humming to our song, that voice still echoes as small whispers in my ears. Love. Fear. Safety. Inked sighs all over my chest, pulses rising, a seething rest- do you remember how it felt?

The warmth we felt was from between us, everything else was numb. Cold fingers, frost-bites, numb feet, sugar-sweet honesty. I felt the colours of dawn lightly dip into the sky, the palette blended and changed, lighter shades to a rising day. Do you remember it all the same?
