The load music surrounds me as I watch my best friend Kathleen Hanna finish up her set with her band Bikini Kill. They're playing 'Double Dare Ya' which just so happens to be one of my favourite songs by them.

As I'm watching the set I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see a person I have never met but definitely knew, Adam Horovitz aka the King Ad-Rock from the Beastie Boys.

"Hi, my names Adam, Kathleen's boyfriend." He introduces and sticks out his hand for me to shake. I gladly except and shake his hand.

"I'm Y/N, Kathleen's best friend, nice to meet you." I say with a smile. Kathleen and Adam started dating a few months ago but this is my first time meeting her boyfriend. They decided to keep their relationship a secret because they don't want to deal with what everyone will say.

"I've heard a lot about you." He says as he let's go of my hand.

"All good things I hope." I say with a chuckle.

"For the most part." He says jokingly. Adam and Kathleen are such an adorable couple, I haven't seen them together before but they just fit. Ever since they met Kathleen's just been happier and she has this glow, she's definitely in love.

"Well Kathleen never stops talking about you." I say rolling my eyes a bit. Adam laughs at my comment, little does he know it's not a joke. I wish that was an exaggeration but it's really not, she talks about him nonstop.

We make short talk for the rest of the show and we don't even notice when the show ends. Adam and I are in the middle of an interesting conversation about Bad Brains that came about when Adam commented on the Bad Brains shirt I'm wearing. We are so invested in the conversation that we don't even notice when Kathleen walks up behind us and wraps her arms around us, making him and I both jump and she starts laughing.

"God you scared me!" I say moving away from the laughing Kathleen as I catch my breath.

"Then I've achieved my goal." She says with a smirk as I roll my eyes at her. "I see you two have met."

"We have, and we were having a very interesting conversation." Adam says jokingly as he wraps his arm around Kathleen's shoulders.

"Well I'm glad to see my two favourite people are getting along." Kathleen says as we walk away from the stage.

"So what are you're plans after the show?" Adam asks me as Kathleen meets up with the rest of Bikini Kill and they start to pack up their equipment.

"I don't know, Kathleen invited me so I guess I'll stick with her unless she's busy." I say as I lean against a wall.

"Well I'm pretty sure Kathleen's hanging out with me and my band and a few other friends, you should come." He says turning to me.

"I just might." I say with a smile as a loud voice calls 'Ad-Rock' from the other side of the stage.

"Alright well I have to go but I would like to see you later." He says as he quickly runs up to Kathleen and gives her a quick peck and whispers something in her ear before running towards the other side of the stage.

I just mind my business for awhile, I zone out looking at all the people. When I come back to reality I realize that Kathleen and the rest of Bikini Kill are no longer in front of me. I decide to get up from the wall and find someone, I take two steps until I find myself on the floor.

"Oh fuck! I'm so sorry!" A guy with really nice blue eyes and short dark brown hair says to me as he offers me his hand. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I say as I take his hand and he helps me up and I unintentionally go flying into his chest and I groan in pain when our bodies collide.

"That doesn't sound okay." He comments as he steps away and I shoot him a glare.

"I'll be fine, thank you for helping." I say with an attitude as I started to walk away before the mystery guy grabs my injured arm causing me to curse, "fuck!"

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry I just wanted to apologize for hurting you, again. Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked as he looks at me, he's handsome. He has really nice kind eyes and all his features are really soft and he looks genuine.

"No, I'll be fine. Thank you for asking." I say with a smile to put him at some ease, in return he gives me a smile.

"Okay, I'm just really sorry." He says as blush covers his cheeks.

"I know." I say with a little giggle.

He was about to say something when the name 'Michael' was called by a voice a few feet away from us. He gave me a quick wave and then continued running.

I stood in one stop for a bit just taking in what just happened, this was until Kathleen joined me.

"What are you smiling about?" She asks me and I stop smiling immediately, I didn't even realize that I was.

"Nothing, I don't know what you're talking about." I say quickly as she gives me an unsure look.

"Whatever, let's watch Adam's set it's about to start." She says as she grabs the arm I fell on and starts to drag me as I Yelp in pain. Kathleen stops looks at me and notices the bruise quickly developing on my arm. "What happened?"

"It's a long story." I say as I walk behind her to the part of the stage where we could see the performance.

We make our way to the stage and the music starts, the crowd roars, and the boys fill the stage with energy. As I watch the show one of the guys looks weirdly familiar, then it hits me. As the guy takes off his hat I recognize him instantly, he the guy who ran into me earlier.

"Hey Kathleen, who's that?" I ask forgetting if he even introduced himself to me.

"That's Michael Diamond, Mike D." She says as we both continue to watch the show. "He's the one introduced me to Adam."

I nod as a sign that I'm paying attention to her, which I'm really not, my eyes are stuck on Mike. Eventually he looks to the side and sees me with Kathleen and shoots me a quick smile and wink.

I fed myself turn red with blush and look down at my shoes, God I hope Kathleen doesn't notice.
