The day the new Knights arrived Ben had a rare feeling of elation. He was finally going to meet and train with true warriors. The 'warriors' Ben trained with thus far under his uncle, seemed brainwashed to the ways of The Temple of Light. Except for the elder Lor San Tekka who felt Ben is much stronger than his mother or uncle give him credit for. He respects the young Prince and in turn Ben respects him. On occasion Lor secretly trained with Ben in his private training chamber to see the depth of the young man's skills. Lor smuggled swords in a few times and was truly impressed with Ben's instinctive fighting abilities. Since it was infrequent, this secret training only got Ben so far. The Prince was now ready to learn much more and to train with someone who was not afraid to hurt him. Ben dreams of becoming a true warrior King, he feels it in his very core. He was meant for this.

The six Knights of Ren and their families traveled across the raging oceans to reach Aldera via their great warship 'The Night Buzzard'. The Ren live in the mostly uncharted part of Alderaan. They inhabit the small seaside settlement of Osseriton far off any trade routes. With very few visitors, the Ren people are a hardy lot and have survived mostly by living off the sea.

King Organa of Aldera (Leia's Grandfather) declared them an autonomous people after they fought as allies with his army in the Great War of Alderaan nearly seventy years ago. After the King was reinstated as the true ruler of Aldera, the Ren people left to find a territory to call their own. Osseriton would always be protected by all Organa rulers of Aldera. As the accord was written, the Ren would own their land and live peacefully. However, in the event of war the Ren people would become vassals and send their strongest warriors to fight alongside the Aldera Army once again.

The Ren had not witnessed any outsiders for years until Hutt's henchmen and ships came into their harbor one night to raid their winter rations. A battle ensued, and the Ren people quickly overtook Hutt's unprepared army. All Ren are by nature true to the bone warriors' men, women, and children all fought together in a coordinated effort. Before killing off the Hutt ship's main Captain. Vicrul the Knights leader and strongest warrior forced the Hutt captain to tell him why they had come to Osseriton? The captain was brutally beaten until he finally answered that Jabba the Hutt and Palpatine have plans to become co-rulers of Alderaan, and their ships were there to restock supplies as they sailed around the world to Aldera.

The plan is to steal the new technology anyway they could and then overthrow Leia. The Captain painfully explained the promise of the newly discovered steam technology and once Palpatine and Jabba had it they would waste no time obliterating anyone who objected to their new rule. This information did not sit well with Vicrul and his people who held Aldera's pact with honor. He heard enough and quickly dispatched the captain. As soon as they slain the remaining Hutt survivors, the Ren quickly went into retrofitting several acquired Hutt ships that could sail in strong sea currents. This will now leave their people with two more sea-worthy fighting vessels in case of another attack.

Vicrul then prepared their lead ship The Night Buzzard for a long journey. The Knights of Ren finally reached the great harbor of Courscant just south of Aldera to get word to the Princess via the local Viscount. The Viscount promptly sent an Aldera flying guard ship to get a message to Leia that the Ren Knights are asking permission to dock, settle, and train with the Aldera Army for any impending wars. The message also included that the Ren wish to inform Leia on the intentions of Palpatine and Jabba the Hutt. Vicrul and his crew settled into Courscant's harbor for the night awaiting word from the Princess. The next morning the Viscount came aboard The Night Buzzard to share the news that the Princess thanks and welcomes the Ren into Aldera. She is eager to meet with the Knights to hear about what they know and is most pleased they will be there to train with her own Army. She also mentioned that she wanted the Knights to train her Son, Prince Benjamin in real combat fighting.

The Knights arrived in Aldera the next day and settled into their new quarters. Vicrul went to  meet with the Princess and her lead advisors. It was decided at the next sunrise they would start training with the Prince and her Royal Army.
