"I'm fine Uraraka, don't w-worry!" He laughed wetly.

The brown haired girl frowned, bringing her friend into a tight hug.

"Okay, whatever you say, but... when you need me, I'll be here for you." She smiled.

"I might just take you up on that offer sometime." He returned the smile as best he could.

Izuku Midoryia's Dorm Room
Izuku's POV

I gripped the pillow, hyperventilating heavily. I blindly searched for my phone, picking it up. I shakily scrolled through my contacts, clicking 'call' on the one I needed.

It rung,

and rung,

and rung.

Until it clicked.

"Deku-kun, heeyy!" The all too familiar voice greeted me.

"H-Hey Uraraka, uhm, I-I nee-" She cut me off.

"Oh, sorry Deku-kun, I need to go! Tsuyu's in hibernation, so uh, bye!" She hung up.

She hung up.

I put the phone down slowly. Taking a deep breath, I tried to text her the importance of the situation. Even I could tell it was getting bad, real bad.

I dropped the phone and shoved my face into my pillow. 'I thought she'd be here I thought she said she would be here for me why isn't she here why isn't she here why why whywhywhywhywhywhy?' I panicked.

I didn't feel the tears streaming steadily down my cheeks, nor did I notice I was screaming into the pillow. Everything was blurry and jumbled. All I could hear were those awful, vile thoughts. They kept repeating, I couldn't stop them. I couldn't do anything, I felt numb and overwhelmed at the same time.

And the next thing I know, I'm asleep.

UA Dorms
Izuku's POV

The next morning I walked downstairs like normal, it was Saturday but I didn't bother sleeping in. When I came down, I noticed just how early I had woken up, it was just barely dawn.

I sighed, grabbing a water bottle. I sat at the table and plugged in my headphones. I focused solely on the music and water bottle in my hand. I can wallow in pain later, right now it's too damn early for that.

However, because of this, I didn't hear footsteps approaching me. A hand placed itself on my shoulder nonchalantly. I flinched, hard. I even accidentally activated One for All when I turned around.

"I apologize for scaring you Midoryia." Tokoyami said, turning and walking into the kitchen.

He returned with two apples, and sat down in front of me. Dark Shadow instantly came and gave me a hug, which was nice.

"You look sad Midoryia, what's wrong?" Dark Shadow patted my head, like an owner to it's pet.

I smiled, waving my hand dismissively, "It's nothing, really."

Although she seemed thoroughly unconvinced, Dark Shadow let it go. She went back over to Tokoyami and stole one of the apples happily.

"Alright, but whenever you need me, me and Tama chan are here for you!" She said, smiling despite being made of what seemed like dark matter.

I nodded, glancing at my phone. If Uraraka didn't even want to help, why would Tokoyami and Dark Shadow want to?

I shook my head slightly, I can't think that! Doubting others is bad, surely Uraraka misunderstood me last night. She said Tsuyu was going into hibernation, that's far more important than my silly tears.

"You little shits do whatever you want without killing each other or destroying anything." Aiwaza Sensei groaned, and then flopped down in his sleeping bag.

I smiled, albeit forced. Aiwaza Sensei was great, just a bit odd.

The Dekusquad seemed to materialize around my desk as soon as Aiwaza Sensei laid down. At some point, Uraraka stopped the conversation and turned to me.

"Hey Deku-kun, why didn't you answer me last night? I texted and called you but you didn't pick up!" She said.

My fingers twitched.

"S-Sorry, I must've fallen asleep!" I rubbed the back of my neck.

She nodded and took out her phone, "And what was with your spelling? You kept spelling things all funny, 'I nred ouo'? 'Uraeaka', 'Urarka', 'can you vome to my room'?"

I began to panic a bit, not only was it embarrassing but she was starting to attract attention. I didn't like her just exposing my secrets in front of the whole class.

"It was nothing, Uraraka, can we move on from that?" I forced a smile.

She looked skeptical but shrugged it off and started a conversation with Tsuyu and Iida. I sighed in relief, but didn't miss the way Todoroki glanced at me before he turned to the other three.

I thought she said she'd be there for me...
