                                                           Chapter One

                                                          RENESMEE CULLEN

I was running. I didn't know where but I was running. The La Push beach was coming up. I ran into the water, I sensed someone behind me. I turned to find the Volturi.  Aro, Caius and Marcus in front. Jane and Alec on either side of them. The guards all around. I simply didn't know what to do. I attempted to swim but Aro caught me. He lifted me up out of the water, gave me to Caius and starting twisting my head. Unbearable pain was all i felt. Then, pop! my head was off.

I woke up screaming. My mother and father were by my side in less than two seconds. My mother was brushing my hair back with her hand, soothing me. My father read my mind and cringed. "They're not going to hurt you Nessie." my father said to me. I just nodded. "What time is it?" I asked. "Six in the morning. If your tired you can go back to sleep." My father told me. "No, I'm not tired." I said as I rose from my bed. I walked to the huge bathroom and got in the shower. The warm water ran into my bronze hair and down my back. It felt wonderful. I washed my hair and body then got out and dried off. I walked out to the massive closet, wrapped in my towel. I found a lavender sundress and flats to match. I walked to my room and closed the door and locked it. I put the towel in my hamper and got dressed. I unlocked my door and walked out to the living room. I brushed my hair quickly then sat down. "Can we go to the main house Mamma?" I asked. I never did break the habit of calling my mother 'Mamma' and my father 'Daddy'. "Of course," my mother said. I got up and ran to the door. I opened it and stepped out. "Race ya!" I shouted as I darted off. My mother and father were at my side instantly but they still let me win. Not that I wasn't fast. I ran as fast as them most of the time. But with me being half human I'm not as fast. I slowed at the door and walked in. "Good morning everyone," I said as I walked into the living room. Good morning Nessie," everyone in the house replied at the same time. I walked into the kitchen to find exactly what I was expecting. Esme was cooking me pancakes. "Smells delicous Grandma Esme," I said sitting on a chair by the breakfast bar.  Esme set a plate of pancakes in front of me. "Thanks," I said to Esme. She set another plate next to mine. There must be about ten pancakes on that plate. I heard a knock on the door and yelled "I got it!" as I ran to the door. I opened the door for Jacob. "Breakfast is on the table," I said to him. "Smells great," he replied to me. "Esme made it. Tell her." I said smiling. We ran back to the kitchen and started eating. After we were finished we started packing for Alaska. We are moving to Coffman Cove. It's Friday and we should arrive on Sunday. We finished packing and got in our cars. Off we go to our new home that only me, my mother, my father and Jake haven't seen yet. It's going to be a long trip.
