The Reunion

IZUKU'S POV:

Ring
Ring ....

-" Hey Denki!"

-" Izuku man! How have you been?

-"You know, busy as hell."

-" I feel you man. Villians have no rest."

-" * sigh* They really dont."

-" Anyway, sorry to bother you this late at night. I just came home from work."

-"It's okay, don't worry about it. So what's up?"

-" Remember the class reunion we wanted to do this year? Yeah, Mina called today and she suggested we leave it for this Saturday. I called some of the guys and they were cool with it. Look man I know what you and your family are going through right now...and it's totally okay if you can't make it. We all understand. I just wanted to inform you."

Me and the others have been working non-stop since the day we received the letter from TNEA. I've been staying at work even after midnight. I felt like we didn't have any time to waste. That every minute that passed would be crucial for my Satomi. I couldn't rest. Even now, I was sitting in my studio at home, trying to come up with something, a better plan, a better idea. I can't rest.

These past 3 years have been the hardest years of my life. And not only mine. Ochako has been suffering too. And even thought she says she's okay and that she's doing fine, I hear her crying every night, after she makes sure I've fallen asleep. Her soft sobs break my heart into a million pieces, everytime.
And Seiko. He lost a piece of himself. His other half. I don't want them to go through this pain anymore. I can't let them shed any more tears.

Yet, even by being the Number 1 Hero or The Symbol of Peace, this time, in this moment, right now... I'm powerless.

Maybe this reunion is a good idea. Ochako might feel better around her old friends. I could use some time off work too. But I'm not doing this for me. No. I'm doing this for my family, hoping they can have a good time finally after 3 years.

-"Denki, it's okay. I appriciate your worry, really. And I think some time with our dearest friends it's a good idea. I'll talk with Ochako and see if she's okay with it. After all, I'm doing this for her. I just...I want to see her smile again."

-" Izuku. You're doing all you can. And personally, I admire you for all of this. Really."

-"Thanks Denki. It means a lot. So anyway, see you at the reuinion I hope?"

-" See you man! Say hi to Ochako for me. Oh and can you tell Shoto and Katsuki too please?"

-" I'll tell them don't worry."

-" OH and we're bringing the kids too. So don't forget to tell Seiko."

-" Now that's a great idea."

-" Haha I know right. Alright man. See you!

-" Good night Denki!"

I got up and headed to my room. Ochako was sleeping. I changed my clothes, got under the sheets and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead. She opened her eyes slowly.

-"Did I wake you up love?"

-" No...no you didn't." - She said caressing my cheek.

-" Honey... Denki called and asked about the Reunion. Honestly, I thought it would make you feel better... It would make you happier...-"

-" You always put yourself last, don't you. Thank you for thinking about my happinesses honey. And honestly, I think it's a good idea too. But know that you deserve it just as much as I do. You got that?"
