As I lay awake at night
Hoping for just a moment of peace
My mind wanders
Like an inquisitive bear
Seeking its prey
It wanders
Following the previously engraved path
Of the thoughts before it
Tracing
And retracing
Like a track on replay
Questions run through my mind
All looking for the same answer
Each path I follow
Leads me to the same place
But each turn I take brings me closer
And closer
To the key of all my wonders
But just as I'm about to take that last step
Just as I'm about to obtain the solution
With no time to delay
I'm stolen away
And pulled into the deepest of slumbers
Yet I know
After all my countless encounters
That I will be
One step closer
Tomorrow
