Picture of Max on the side.
Kira Palmer
I paced back and forth in the room I was forced into. Two of the men that brought me were guarding the door outside of the room while the other stayed inside the room with me.
I had stopped crying, all that was left was anger. I was furious. How could he just order me away?
It was killing me knowing that my pack and my family were most likely fighting for their lives while I was in a room with strangers "protecting" me.
"Can you at least tell me what's happening?" I pleaded the tanned man. He looked as if he wanted to explain but was holding back.
"I don't think the Alpha would be happy with me." He avoided looking at me.
I knew he would be easier to break than the other two men. He seemed younger and not as cruel.
"What's your name?" I asked softly.
"Max." His eyes lit up in excitement.
"Well Max I really want to make sure my family is alright. I would really appreciate if you could find that out for me." I smiled and took a step closer to him.
"I don't know..." Max trailed off unsurely.
"Please." I dragged out batting my eyelashes. "It would mean a lot to me as your Luna." I added in.
I felt bad for throwing the authority card in his face but I knew pack members always wanted to please their Luna. Not that I would ever be his Luna. I was going to get out of here. I needed to be alone first.
"I guess I can go and be back in a couple of minutes." He caved.
"Thank you so much!" I praised excited I was going to be alone.
"The guys are right outside in case you need anything while I'm gone." He told me as he walked to the door. I nodded smiling as he left the room shutting the door behind him.
I knew I wouldn't be able to go out the door because the two men guarding it. There had to be a window somewhere in this room.
The dark grey wall that the bed was resting against had no windows on it. There was a window on one of the side walls but it wouldn't open. I pulled as hard as I could trying to pry it open but it wouldn't budge.
I sighed in defeat and looked around the room again. It really was a gorgeous room. The dark grey walls went well with the blue bed spread and pillows. The mahogany floors were classic and beautiful. There was book shelf in one corner of the room loaded with books. The room wasn't messy and it was easy to know that someone had cleaned it recently. I opened a door only to see a bunch of male clothing. I shut the door upset that it wasn't a bathroom. I kept walking until I came to another door and was pleased to see it actually was a bathroom.
Again is was decorated beautifully but I didn't focus on it too much as I saw a window right near the bath tub. I climbed over the bath and unlocked the latch. The window slid up with little effort and I stuck my head out to see what I was dealing with. I was on the second floor but being a werewolf meant that I wouldn't get hurt that badly. Well at least I hoped I wouldn't get hurt.
Deciding that this was my only chance at getting away I took a deep breath and sat on the window sill swinging my legs.
There was a knock on the door and I panicked.
"Luna?" I heard Max question in a voice of concern.
I didn't answer as I contemplated what to do. I had to jump. This was the only way.
The door began to open and I knew it was time.
I jumped.
I landed with a loud thud and the force cause my ankle to throb.
"Come on Kira." I mumbled urging myself to move.
"Luna!" I heard Max yell and looked up to see him leaning out the window.
I ignored the pain in my ankle as I ran towards the front of the pack house. What I didn't expect was to see no one there.
Where had they gone? They were all here a couple of minutes ago.
Why would my parents just leave without me?
Confused I walked away from the pack house and tried to see where everyone had gone. I knew I didn't have a lot of time before Max and those men ran after me but I had no idea where to run. I didn't know this territory and I thought it would be easy to stop the fight. It probably would have been if they just stayed where they were when I was taken away.
I decided running away was a better option than just standing in place like an idiot. I ran straight ahead and was getting closer to their town.
It was stupid of me really. I knew I smelt different than a Hollow Peak member. I should have known they would see me as a threat. I was quickly recognized by the pack wolves and taken away by the members.
"I told you I'm allowed to be here I swear." I said exasperated as they led me to the pack prison. "I'm not trespassing! I'm your Alpha's mate let me go!" I yelled as the neared a cell.
They simply chuckled in response and throw me in a cell.
"Yeah and I invented Apple." A women mocked. The rest of the member laughed and jeered at me along with her.
"They Alpha will decide what to do with you later." The women told me smirking. "Have fun." She joked as she walked up the stairs of the prison, the men on her tail.
"Bitch." I muttered sitting down on the cold cellar floor.
Good job Kira.
