The Lion is a species in the family felidae and a member of the genus panthera. It is most recongnisable for its muscular, deep-chested, short rounded head, round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It sexually dimorphic; adult males lions have a prominent manes and they live in africa and parts of asia.

Lifespan: 10 to 14 years

Mass: 190kgs for males and 130 for females

Height: 1.2m at shoulder for males and 1.1m at shoulder for females

length: 1.7-2.5m for males and 1.4-1.8m for females

Diet: antelopes, zebras, warthogs, buffalos, hippos, giraffes and elephants and sometimes they eat mice, birds, hares, lizards and tortoises.

Group name: pride and members can go up to 15 to 30 lions
