"Remember Eddie. No people over. I mean it! No parties! They're bad for your health. And of course, don't forget to take your medication."

"Yes mommy, I know the rules."

Eddie's mom smiled at him gently. "Give your mommy a kiss before I go." Eddie obliged.

His mom was going out of town for the weekend, leaving 16 year old Eddie Kaspbrak alone for two days. Well, not really alone. He asked his best friend, Richie Tozier to come over. But she didn't have to know that.

Eddie watched his overweight mother leave the house and ran up to his bedroom. Richie should be there in about five minutes, and Eddie was going to use this time to clean.

There was a knocking at the door to the tune of the Star Wars anthem. Well he supposed it was meant to be Star Wars but it sounded more like a funeral dirge. Eddie smiled and went to let Richie in.

See, Eddie was excited for two reasons. One, his best friend was staying over for two nights and they could do anything they wanted. Two, Eddie had had a crush on him for the last four years. He started to like him that way one day when he had forgotten his inhaler and had an asthma episode, and Richie helped him through it. Ever since that day he carried around a spare inhaler and memerised the rule of four until he would be able to do it blindfolded. Eddie really liked that about him.

"Heyyy Edward!" Richie greeted him.

"Hey Trashmouth." Eddie moved to the side to let him in.

"Aw man, I missed your mom? She must be avoiding me after I got her to.... nevermind." He grinned mischievously.

"Ok, this was nice, get out of my house now." Eddie rolled his eyes and tries to push him to the door.

"Ah come on Eddie Spaghetti! I'll make it up to you!" Richie pretended to pout.

"Fine. But no more mom jokes or you're out, I mean it!"

Richie started to laugh suddenly.

"What are you laughing at?" Eddie grumbled.

"Just how much we sound like an old married couple." Richie laughed and then ran up the stairs to drop his bags off in Eddie's room. Eddie smiled to himself at the thought of what he said, and hurried up the stairs after him.

"What do you wanna do now?" Richie asked Eddie while they both lay in Eddie's bed. Eddie was laying against the headboard and Richie was at his feet. Eddie could think of several things he wanted to do, but shook himself.

He does not like you that way Eddie, he chastised himself.

"I dunno you pick."

Richie sat up and wiggled his eyebrows.

"Movie?" He asked.

"Movie." Eddie agreed. They both settled in to watch a romantic comedy that neither of them wanted to watch.

"This dumb bitch! How can she NOT know that he likes her!" Richie was complaining.

"Oh shut up Richie." Eddie said to him.

"I'm just saying, if I wanted to tell who I liked that I liked them, I would! No regrets." Richie eventually agreed to shut up and just watch the movie.

Halfway through his head ended up on Eddie's lap, and Eddie played with his hair softly. Neither of them were watching the movie anymore, they just spent the rest of the hour glancing at each other and looking away quickly.

After what felt like years the movie's end credits began to roll.

"That was interesting." Richie yawned and sat up.
