"Thank you so much for looking after the babies." Emily sighed and kissed her best friend, Shawnee on the cheek, before moving to her twin brother, wrapping him up in a hug.

"How hard can it be, huh?" Liam shrugged, making Emily scoff.

"You won't be saying that when you're running on less than two hours sleep and changing dirty nappies every two minutes." His smile dropped and he let out a sigh "you forgot about that part, didn't you?"

"Yeah."

Emily laughed and Shawnee patted his back "we shall get through this together, my friend. Anyway we have Elsa to help us."

"Maybe you don't have this." Emily blurred out running a hand through her dirty blonde hair "maybe I should bring them with me- I- maybe I shouldn't go at all." She pulled out her phone and dialed a number, holding up to her ear. As soon as it was answered, she began to talk at a million miles an hour again. "Hey Joe, I'm going to need you to recast Wanda. Something came up and I can't come to Atalanta."

"What do you mean recast Wanda? Emily we can't do that now!"

Shawnee swiftly snatched the phone off of the now hyperventilating mother and sighed "Hey, Joe, its Shawnee."

"Can you tell me what's going on over there?"

"Yeah, sorry. You don't have to recast anyone." She chuckled "Em is just- well she's having a maternal break down at the airport. It's the first time she's going to be leaving Violet and Kayden for this long."

"Oh. Well tell her we won't work her too hard and she'll definitely have time to call you." Russo said from the other end of the line "we really need her to film right now."

"Yeah, I get that." Shawnee nodded with a smile, forgetting that he can't actually see her. She looked over to Emily, who was now crying into Liam's arms. "I'll calm her down. Don't worry."

"Thanks, Shawnee. You're a star."

"I know." She grinned "bye, Russo." She hung up the phone and handed it to Emily, "okay, babe. You're going to Atlanta. They need you. You're Wanda Fucking Maximoff, for god sake."

She sniffed and wiped her nose on her sleeve "but- my babies..."

"Liam, Elsa and I will take care of them, don't worry! Joe said you will have more than enough time to FaceTime us and..." she stopped and looked Emily dead in the eye. "It's about Chris."

Emily's lip trembled and she held her arms around Liam's Waist tighter. Of course it was about Chris. She trusted Liam, Shawnee and Elsa with her life. She knew they wouldn't let her babies out of their sight. She just didn't know if she could handle seeing Chris again. Not yet, anyway.

"Emmy..."

"It's not that I don't want to see him... it's that I do... more than anything..." she frowned "I still love him and that fucking terrifies me..."

"Of course you still live him." Liam chuckled "those feelings aren't just going to disappear over night."

"But I feel like I shouldn't love him... I mean, he almost slept with another woman."

"I know." Shawnee consoled, "that was a shitty thing to do, but this is your decision and only yours. Nobody else can make it for you."

"Damn, Shawnee, when you get so inspirational?" She laughed, wiping her tears.

"It's a gift I guess." She shrugged.

--------

After a final round of goodbyes, Emily finally got on the plane, preparing for the short 2 and a half hour flight. It wasn't long but it gave her enough time to read a book and figure out what she was going to do when she saw Chris. One of those two things proved more difficult than anticipated, and let's just say she read almost half of the book she was reading.

Once the plane landed and she had collected her things, Emily looked around the airport before her eyes set on the two boys waving at her. It was Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. She grinned and ran over to her friends and dropped her suitcase, before the boys enveloped her into a warm and welcome hug. "Hey, Pig." Mackie laughed, lifting her feet off of the floor, spinning in a circle. He set her back down and held his hands on her waist "how was your flight?"

"Boring." She chuckled "I read like half of a book."

"Eww." She heard Sebastian scoff "why would you do that?"

Emily almost ran to him and threw her arms around his neck, standing on her tip-toes to reach him. "Hey, Sebby."

"Hey, Em." He hugged her tightly before letting go of her and picking up her bag from the floor. "Your brother was going to come with us, but he had to shoot."

"That's okay." She smiled "I'll see him later." Emily looked down at her hands, her fingertip tracing over where her ring used to sit.

"He's a mess."

She was pulled from thought and looked up at Mackie "huh?"

"I said, He's a mess." He repeated, a slight frown stitched at his lips. "All he does, is sit in his trailer with Dodger until he's needed. Even then, he says his lines and nothing else."

"It's his own fault..." she whispered, her heart breaking at the mention of him.

"You should talk to him." Sebastian suggested "I've known the guy for years. He's never been like this before."

She drew in a deep breath and bit down on her bottom lip. "I don't know if I can do that, Seb." She shrugged, looking up to keep herself from crying again. It seemed like that was all she ever did. Tried and failed to not cry. She was getting sick of it.

"Maybe you'll change your mind when you see him." Mackie draped and arm over her shoulder and they began to walk to the car waiting for them, paparazzi already beginning to swarm.

"Yeah... maybe." She whispered.

A/N:

Okay, so not including the A/N this chapter was exactly 1000 words long 😚✌🏻

Serious question, does anyone actually still enjoy this story??

Also idk how long this is going to continue but I will definitely finish it, like I've said before.

I might be able to be persuaded into a second book in the future if you do -by some miracle- actually still like it and want more :)

Thank you babies! <3
