-Lottie's P.O.V-
"Yeah, it was sooo cool," Em said as we walked down the hall in school with our other friends. Suddenly I saw the familiar platinum blonde, but my smile was wiped off my face at the scene.
"Come on, Ms. French. Just a little kiss," Ben said, the jock. He's the biggest player around but also quite the bully. No one really picks on me because of Louis and all, but Ava is always the victim.
And I'm not going to stand by and watch anymore.
"Come on, babe," Ben murmured and held her so she couldn't move. She kept talking calmly, trying to get him to let go of her.
I left my friends and quickly went over there and tapped him on the shoulder. He cursed and turned his head, glaring at me before quickly smiling charmingly. He let go of Avangeline and stepped closer to me. "Well hello there, Lottie," he said 'seductive'. I smiled and pretended to fall for it, but then I frowned and socked him in the face. He staggered backward while I shook my aching hand.
"You son of a bitch. Leave her alone and stop being a bully," I hissed and then went to Ava. I let my brave face crumble now and let out a strangled groan. "Holy, he has a hard face," I mumbled. The blonde looked at me for a short moment in shock before giving me a small smile.
"You are wearing rings, Charlotte, of course it hurts," she said softly and took my wrist, walking me to the closest bathroom. She cleaned it up pretty fast, helping me with my red and now cracked knuckles. I also took off all my rings because they hurt. A lot.
"Thank you, Charlotte," she said in her oh so smooth voice.
"Can you please call me Lottie?" I asked her softly and she made a slight grimace. "You call your sister Ranza," I added quickly.
"I know, but I feel disrespectful when doing so with anyone else," she said, trying to explain this to me. "And Lottie especially, it's just really unformal."
"Then give me some other nickname, just not Charlotte," I said and she gave in there. I nodded in satisfaction now.
"Or Char, I don't like Char," I said, shaking my head and she also did that, agreeing with me on that one.
"Do you possibly have a middle name?" she wondered, thinking hard about this. I cringed though, not liking the topic of my middle name.
"Yes, it's Eliwabeh," I mumbled it, so it came out like something like that.
"Well how about Liz? It's not too different," she suggested, obviously understanding my mumbling.
"Okay," I nodded and she smiled. "Now let's go get lunch," I said and looked my arm with hers and started walking with her to the cafeteria. Ava laughed lightly and pulled her arm away from mine smoothly. "Uh no," she said, shaking her head.
"You go have lunch, I'm going to the library." With that she turned and headed in the direction of the library. I quickly ran and turn her back in the direction of the cafeteria. "Oh yes you are," I said but she managed to slip away and went to the library.
I groaned and quickly grabbed her wrist.
"Come on, Ava," I said, begging her slightly.
"No, this is where I draw the line. I do not care if you got on the floor and cried for me to go. I am not eating in the cafeteria," she finalized, standing her ground. I pouted, but let go of her wrist and she gave me a small smile, standing in front of me.
"Fine, we won't eat there, but can we at least go and get the food there and then we can eat it in the ghost hall?" I suggested and she complied. When we entered the cafeteria, I quickly realized why she was so against eating here. Everyone looked at her like an alien when they saw her and it was really loud, which is just something that I can't picture along with Ava. She just looks like this small, fragile, porcelain doll. Too much noise and she'll crack.
