Summary: Blaire and Tyler Thompson are twins with extraordinary minds. Blaire has frequent visions that somehow intertwine with current or future situations and Tyler is a full-blown genius, both able to see things that others cannot. Life without the other is painfully unbearable, mentally and physically, which Blaire learns as she steps out of an apocalypse without him. During her aimless travels, she meets three random strangers - Arika, Kaden, and Darby - who guide her to her next destinations, but not without ensuring constant troubles that make Blaire regret living any more than she already wanted to. However, something is a little strange about the three people she meets. The more she tries to forget about Tyler, denying her sole existence, the more agitated and violent her companions are becoming.
"Excuse me?" Arika took a step forward, her palms dripping blood from her nails digging into her skin.
"Look at her and tell me she's going to survive." Kaden laughed, her smile stretching over her face. Arika took two quick strides, too fast for Kaden to catch, then lunged for her throat. Kaden was pinned to a tree within seconds and was gasping for breath, struggling beneath the fierce grip. Arika's hand tightened, restricting Kaden of any breath.
"If you keep this up, I will kill you." Arika dropped the girl, allowing Kaden to sag against the tree as she coughed, gaining her breath back.
"Not if I kill you first." Kaden whispered when Arika was out of ear shot.
