Zatie's POV
"Zatie? Wake up. It's almost 11 pm" Mom said as she removed the blanket from my face
"Already?"
"Hmm, Hyunjin didn't wake you up before he leaves because you are sleeping soundly. He also heard you watching a drama last night" Mom
"Ah, where did he go?"
"He said he is going out with friends to plan the filming for tomorrow? I'm not sure" Mom
"Alright, I'll go down"
Mom smiled and left my room. I took a very quick bath and wore my clothes. I dried my hair and ran downstairs. I saw Dad reading something at the dining table.
"Zatie, you should eat now and help me with this case. We need to review this" Dad said while not even looking at me
I sat on the opposite side and started eating my lunch "What time is Hyunjin going home?"
"I don't know but he will be here soon. He left 7 am in the morning" Dad
"7 am? Isn't that too early?"
"He said he is busy" Mom
"Oh okay"
I continued eating while watching Dad review the case. His head is probably hurting now. I wonder what happened yesterday.
"Eat more" Mom said and put a lot of foods in front of me
I ate as fast as I can and finished everything.
"Shall we start now? Same rules" Dad said and gave me the folder
I nodded "Alright"
I started reading everything. The fingerprint result is positive. The boyfriend is the guy I saw yesterday and the killer is really that creepy guy.
"Questions?" Dad
"What are his motives? Why did he killed them?"
"When we are talking to him yesterday, he said that the girl is really close to him. She would always greet him everyday and will always give her foods like they are close friends. Then, the boyfriend came to the house and told the girl to stop. He was shock by how the girl was trying to completely ignore him everyday. The boyfriend also told him not to bother his girlfriend. Of course, he already likes the girl. He got mad and threatened the boyfriend that he will kill them. Hyunjin found the later telling the girl not to open the windows and doors. The boyfriend wrote it when that creepy guy tried to kill him for the first time but he didn't succeed. Then, he left the house, the next morning the boy was trying to enter the house but the girl locked everything. He got mad and killed the girl by hitting her head using the hammer in the room and strangled her to death. The boyfried came and was also killed before we all came. He was trying to frame up the boyfriend" Dad explained
"So, Hyunjin and I were right? but what are these other folders for?"
"It's the same case in different places. He was also the suspect number 1 with all of those girls who died in the same way he did to the girlfriend we saw yesterday. What's scary is all of the boyfriends were framed up, telling they killed the girlfriend but they are nowhere to be found" Dad
"Dad, why not look around the house or the garden of the houses of the girls? I saw that guy earlier, he was trying to bury the big jar with the boyfriend in it. Maybe he buried all the bodies?"
Dad quickly dialled his co-police officers and left me at the dining table.
"I'm home" Hyunjin said as he entered the house and gave me the script
"What am I going to do with this?"
"Eat it" Hyunjin answered and went straight to his room
"Whatever, rude Hyunjin"
I looked at the script and there's not much dialogue because it's all enjoying and having fun together with Minho. Mom sat and gave me a watermelon.
"Did Hyunjin went to his room?" Mom asked
I nodded and ate the watermelon "Yes, he just gave me this script for tomorrow's filming"
"Filming? Did you two joined?" Mom
"Nope, Hyunjin and his friends are doing a short film for their grades and they need an actress to act with Minho. They asked me to be the actress, I really don't want but I don't have a choice"
"Minho and you are lead? So, what are the others doing? What about Hyunjin?" Mom
"Minho, Jeongin and I are the main lead. Changbin is the art director, Chan is the audio director, Jisung is the lighting director, Seungmin wrote the script, Felix will be assigned to do the clapper board, Minkyu is the head director and Hyunjin will be filming the whole film"
"He will be filming? Did his friends let him borrow a camera?" Mom
"No, I bought him the camera he was trying to steal everyday using my own money"
"Your Dad said that camera cost over 1.5 million won" Mom
"Yes, but it's okay. He wants to try it, why not let him? A guy like Hyunjin having a dream is really rare. So, I did that before he lose the dream he wanted"
"I'm just really proud of you" Mom smiled
"I'm not even proud of myself. Anyway, I can just earn the money again. What matters is he knows what he wants to be"
"Hyunjin finally knows what he wants to be. I just remember him saying he will be a detective like you but now he is different" Mom
Ah yeah, the coward and doesn't even have a little confidence little Hwang Hyunjin.
