Mike's P.O.V

The fox charged at me, hook outstretched and jaw dangling. I let him get as close as possible before I stepped to the side. He crashed into the wall and powered off thankfully. Next I turned my attention to Jeremy. I checked if he was breathing, luckily he was.

I pushed him against a wall and got the first aide kit to fix his arm. I carefully bandaged up his arm wincing at the sight of it. I made myself a promise that I wasn't going to let him get hurt again, even if that meant I'd take two shifts. This kid was not dying on my watch. I pulled him into my arms and picked him up as I headed for the exit.

He started to stir in my arms and he groaned flinching slightly before he noticed I was carrying him. "M-Mike...?" He asked stuttering "Hey, you okay Jere....?" I asked as I set him down. He nodded but he was still really pale..."Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?" I offered and if that kid could turn paler than he already was he just did..."No!" Jeremy shouted which caught me off guard. "I-I mean no thanks...it's j-just a little w-walk from here I can handle it...." He added a bit too quickly for my taste.

"Alright be careful though." I said as he walked away from me. My blue eyes followed him until he was out of view.... Something didn't seem right about how quickly he responded...I should ask Doll about this....

[A/N: I hope you guys like this cause Doll is coming in the next chapter which shall be written as you are reading this!]
