Chapter 14:Secrets

I walked home with my hands in my pockets, I didn't have to work today because my buddy Vince said he'd cover for me. At least I'd have some time with Doll....my lips turned into a smile as I thought about her. She is my sunshine and I love her so much. I climbed up the stairs to our apartment. "Doll I'm home~" I called out looking around for her.

I found a note on the fridge and read it. 'Dear Mikey, I stepped out for a moment. Something came up at work, back in a bit. Love-Doll'

I sighed slightly...ever since the night I thought I was going to die she'd been avoiding me like the plague...was she seeing someone else....? Did she not love me anymore...? I groaned as worry filled my body.

Doll's P.O.V

I walked down to my work smiling brightly as I entered. "Good morning sir~" I chimed as I walked past my boss. He smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Good morning my love, have you dumped that looser yet?" He asked kissing my ear. "Ugh Schmidt? Not yet, he's too clingy and I think he's getting suspicious." I sighed as his hands started to slide below. "James not now." I chastised him slapping his hands away. He pouted slightly, "Oh come on it's not like you actually like him right?" James muttered folding his arms. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Mike? Me and him?! Ha, that's hilarious! He's just another schmuck if you ask me. Hmm, that fits his name perfectly. Schmidt the schmuck." I mused and he chuckled. "Of course it does darling, you always were the creative one."
