Chapter 23:Going Home to hell

By the time we got out of the hospital it was almost time to go to work. We got some of Jeremy's stuff from his dad's house then we headed to the pizzeria. He still seemed really nervous while we were there so I made sure we were out of there as fast as possible.

We got to the pizzeria and all of a sudden I felt super uneasy...like someone was watching us...stalking us almost.... Jeremy must have sensed what I was feeling because he tugged on my shirt. "M-Mike....?" He questioned stuttering. 'God that's adorable...and I could just ki-NO SHUT UP.' I thought as a light blush spread across my face.

We entered the office and the cycle began....Jeremy checked cameras and wound the music box while I checked the vents and used the flashlight. We were just doing our routine in simple silence when footsteps broke it. We both turned towards the main hall and I turned on the flashlight. To my dismay it didn't turn on.

Why? I have no idea. BB hadn't been in the office all night...I stepped back a bit from the opening and Jeremy stood up from behind the desk. Suddenly my co-worker Vince entered the room...he always had that creepy air to him so I never paid much attention to him.

"Hello Mikey~" He cooed as that creepy smile came across his face. He had a slightly taller build than me, his skin was purple, and his eyes were white...I don't know exactly if he's blind but it is a possibility.

Vince's eyes flicked over to Jeremy who got closer to me. I suddenly got very protective over him. "Uh hey Vince, what are you here for?" I asked acting as casual as I could. He only got closer to us and I shuddered lightly. "Oh I just dropped in to say hi~ Does the boss know that you're taking double shifts Mikey~ I'm sure he wouldn't mind it."

It's true that I hadn't told the boss-or Byron that I had started taking double shifts with Jer but how could I? If I didn't this kid would be a goner. 'Besides you love him." I internally groaned.
