The Loved Luna

Chapter 6

Hayley's POV

I had been staying with the knight pack for a week and it was absolute heart wrenching, bone crushing hell. Every night, I struggle to silence the screams of agony. Every night more of my body become engulfed in bruises. Every night he mated with another, and I remained silent. After what his wolf had told me, I knew that fighting with Edward would only hurt even more.

Leo had been great, we grew so much closer and now we are best friends. There is always a look of pity in his eyes but I choose to ignore it. Tonight there is a ball being held so that some other alpha can announce his mate as luna. The wolf law states that the alpha, beta and gamma of each pack along with their mate or a date of their choice must attend such events.

We were in Leo's room, we lay side by side on his bed and I listened to him moaning about how he didn't want to go to the ball when he could have a movie marathon instead.
"there is no point in me going anyway, Edward and Gamma theo are going so my presence is just unnecessary! It's not fair!"
I rolled over so I was facing him and he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"I'm sorry that you have to go to this. It will probably be super fun and you need not worry about me, I'm going to be having a twilight marathon, I will manage one night without you somehow."
He looked down and his cheeks pinkened slightly.
"well- I uh was going to-um ask you... Doyouwanttobemydatetotheball"
My jaw dropped and I blushed a little but then smiled softly.
"I would be honoured to be your date to the ball"
I watched as his face lit up and he looked me in the eyes.
"although only if you promise we can have a twilight marathon afterwards" he giggled like a school boy but soon gave in to my puppy dog eyes.
"okayyy fine, but first we have to get ready, and I have a suprise for you"
Leo stood up and went to his cupboard before coming out holding the most gorgeous dress I had ever seen.
"Ready to make your mate jealous" He said with a smirk but I shook my head
"No I am not going to be that petty, he is going to reject me, so therefore I don't belong to him. And that dress is going to help prove it"
Leo nodded then hurriedly told me to go get ready.

When I got to my room, I quickly got in the shower. After spending 10 minutes letting the water wash away all my worries, I stepped out and wrapped a towel around my body. I froze when an all too familiar mix of smells filled my nose. Then a sort of moaning came from my bedroom. Opening the door, I was met with Edward laying on my bed, with crystal on top of him. Naked

I gasped and shut the door with a slam. The pain of them mating was one thing, but actually seeing it. On my bed!
My wolf suddenly fell silent, as if something had just snapped. He finally broke me.
I stood up and wiped my tears, with Rose- my wolf, gone, I couldn't sit back and accept the fact that they were fucking- on my own bed. I walked into the room, completely ignoring their eyes on me. I turned around and walked to my wardrobe to get my dress for tonight out. As I did this, they hastily got off each other and got dressed- well, Crystal's clothes didn't exactly cover much. When I turned around, I still felt the pain inside me but the sheer hatred for what he did to rose overran it completely. Yet somehow, I managed to keep it together.
"Look guys, I know that I just saw you both naked, but I'm getting dressed and don't want you to see me naked so please leave"
His raised an eyebrow and a smirk crossed his face.
"I know you want me to see you naked, too bad. Also you need not get dressed up, this ball is for alpha's, beta's and their dates only. And you are certainly not my date"
This time it was my turn to smirk as I made my way to the door and opened it for them
"I never said I was yourrrrr date. Now go away, I have a date to impress-"
I was cut off by a low growl from Edward. I raised an eyebrow and pushed him out the door, whispering in his ear as I shut the door
"He is wayyy sexier than you anyway"
